Stones is the easiest option to boost revenues but not the only answer. We might have sold Lukaku or a number of lesser players and/or created commercial income had Stones wished to stay.

Moshiri was adamant that Stones could only leave if City met his valuation.

From Moshiri's first statement to the fans though he said that he wanted to keep hold of our top talent, when I read that I was thinking Stones, Ross & Rom. Guess he actually meant Gibson?
If we wanted to cut the wage bill then players like Gibson should have most definitely gone, would have been better to offer Ossie a new one year deal (at least he's available to play and not injured or drink driving)

From his initial statement to us the fans to this precise moment in time I cannot for the life of me work out wtf is going on at EFC.
