didnt bobby say that he will be looking specific players that will fit to his consept....i have no idea what he is looking for, does anybody else have an idea?

if you think about how he played the mid, you might have a clue what he is looking for i quess

"There is some work going on already and over the next few weeks we need to make sure that we bring the right characters as well as the right players to the football club," the Spaniard said.

"It's important we identify the type of help we need in the dressing room and in the team. We must make sure they are a type of footballer who will fit in with the train of thought at Everton FC."

Sounds like he's similar to Moyes in that he wants to make sure new players are of the right mentality to fit in with our great team spirit. So basically a 'no bellends rule' which has got to be a good thing.

Like someone said who do we replace Fellaini with? a cm or a second striker, but them maybe his 22 million will get one of each.

Well you sign someone like a Fer, Capoue or Strootman to play in CM alongside Gibbo and buy Honda to play in the hole behind the striker, and 2 from them 4 would cost less than what we'd bring in for Fellaini!.

Whilst Negredo is a quality striker, there's no way we can spunk our entire budget on a player who turns 28 in August.

If he's going to bag you 15-20 goals a season then I don't see why not, especially when we have the likes of Barkley coming through, who will hopefully make up for any possible loss in re-sale value from someone like Negredo, and when some of the cheaper alternatives aren't young themselves, like Kone and Bent.

Granted, signing a Benteke for 7 million would be ideal, but there isn't a lot of them available, and there's always the risk of spending 5 or 6 million on someone like Jelavic, who is looking like a seriously crap buy at the moment.

Of course but we wont be the only one who will see this as an attractive offer, but we have to remember he wont be a free, and I recken he will wait till his contract runs down and then make around 4 million due to a signing on fee.

I dont think so, he as turned down numerous offers from CSKA as he wants out and his agent will be sounding him out to clubs no doubt. By all accounts he wants to play in the prem and as talked about it with Kagawa, so that could be are trump card IF were genuinely interested in him?!.

10-12m for Wanyama or Fer for 6- 8m. Admit I haven't seen much of Wanyama, but I'm sure there isn't a gap of 4m between their ability.

No way!. Wanyama is good, dont get me wrong, but Fer is more mobile and is a classic box to box midfielder IMO and as great energy but will get stuck in aswell and people may presume that cos he's box to box and gets a foot in, he wont be much of a footballer either but believe me he can play aswell the lad and thats why i voted for him and would still like us to be in for him if/when Fellaini goes!. He's a really good player, 23 verging on 24 and still with time to get better!.

There were exceptions...Drenthe, Van Der Meyde,

with the arsenal russian bloke saying how they were going to spend big this summer & SSN just saying they're in madrid to finalise Higuain's transfer & confident on fellaini, I'm starting to face up to the reality of him leaving.
I'm no scout but Wanyama impressed when I watched celtic in the CL and I hope we get Fer as a matter of priority. But as others have said what Martinez REALLY needs to do is get 3 or 4 players who are bargains but brilliant, so wanyama's probably too expensive.

No more SPL players ffs for 12 mil you could get someone like strootman who is not only an all round better player but is a higer calibre of name that will send out a message of intent that we have ambition, if RM starts buying the likes of mcgeady, hooper and wanyama ill cry my little eyes out

Even if that £24 mil release clause thing is true (and Im 90% certain it isnt) then we would have around £22 mil available from that to spend after liege get their cut so that would give us say £30 mil to spend in total if we are to believe we have around £8 mil or so to spend from the board, with Spurs and Arsenal spending big and liverpool bringing players in we need to make one marque signing IMO to make a statement, Strootman, Bony, Sigurdsson and alcaraz would be great signings and ones we should be after not the likes of mcgeady and wanyama
