I think Villa will be setting up in a 4-3-1-2 like they did vs Man United

Coutinho will most likely come in for Buendia

We really have struggled all season in the middle of the park and with potentially Allan out with COVID, we are very very short in the central midfield. Townsend could drop in there but defensively we are very weak which is a huge fear. Maybe in training Gbamin or Onyango step up because physically they would be a perfect foil for Doucoure and Gomes.

Also with Mina and Branthwaite back and Mykolenko just dropped in, I could see Godfrey back at left back.

Right back is a big worry, Coleman has been shocking all season and Patterson should have already had some minutes under his belt but hey Benitez was a ted!

Richarlison and DCL back is a huge plus so we have a threat.

I can see him starting Holgate at centre back for some reason - agree Godfrey will be left back.

I hope we start with three in the middle , but have a feeling it’ll be Gordon in for one of the midfielders.

No he didn’t. He’s a friend of mine. He used to go and watch both Everton and Liverpool on alternate weeks like a lot of people did back then. He’s an Evertonian to the core. Loves all football. When his brother was manager at Warrington Town, he’d often be down there watching them.
