Yeah, reckon he's gone barring some serious persuasion from the incoming management team or DOF.

Annoying because we throw money at dross but are letting our relatively cheap youth leave.

Often when we have been in trouble I'd say it has been our youth that has got us through - e.g. Rooney and his sale, Stones sale, DCLs improving form and Gordon in recent times. Even Jags and Baines were ex-Everton youth weren't they ?

….not sure if it’s a matter of ‘letting them leave’, this is a constant with lots of clubs. Across Europe there are six figure signing fees available for the most promising youngsters, they are understandably doing what they think is best for them.

….not sure if it’s a matter of ‘letting them leave’, this is a constant with lots of clubs. Across Europe there are six figure signing fees available for the most promising youngsters, they are understandably doing what they think is best for them.

Appreciate it wouldn't be free to keep them - the overhead of transfer fees, agents etc. is what we'd avoid + we probably have a better idea of how they will fit in.

Anyway, perhaps he won't make it - just be good to give them more of a chance before letting them go.
