Ferguson Caretaker Manager

Thought we'd spent weeks saying 433 was the way to go, why are we now saying 442 because it's Ferguson picking the team?

442 doesn't work for us, we don't have players who can do it. We all know that.
That what he played last time, that why I asked

I didn’t see Dobbin on any of the videos which is a shame as I’d like to see him involved weekly now

The result wont matter. Not in relation to the managerial situation.

…ffs Dave, you said this ahead of the Brighton game;

…..

Just watched them train...loudest I've seen all them ...110% effort by the looks.

Ferguson and Ebbrel loud as hell too.

I fear dunc loves Rondon though.
I noticed that too. The boyhoodblues seemed also especially upbeat! The rest, is it Duncan or the selected filming? Not sure. Maybe, when Duncan's got the role he can be himself and as a second is too respectful to the manager. I was also impressed with his personal encouragement of individuals, as well as having a view of the group.

Read an article from Peter Crouch about Benitez training. Interesting. He said it was very dry, tactical and even time constrained.
I imagine that's not really positive for the players we've got. Whether, through language or cognitive skills. IMO they're better suited to simpler, more passion driven instructions. That could be seen in the training video. Hope it's seen against Villa. I think it will.

I do see where you are coming from, but I do think to some degree he is on trial.

Looks like they will give him a few games if it goes badly they will move to plan b. If he does ok, wouldn't be surprised if he gets it until the summer.

What's interesting is that they havent just given him to the summer. Read into that what you will.

He has to be on trial we cannot let this is he or is he not going to be our next manager after every sacking. We need a conclusive answer.

If he starts Michael Keane I’ll be very disappointed

If I were to bet I'd say he will and will also start Coleman just because he is captain and knows Ferguson well. As long as Mina is in the team too then Keane won't look all at sea. I could also see Godfrey at LB.

Reckon he will play this Saturday:

Jordy Picko
Nat Pat, Yegsy Mindogs, Ben God, Mike Lenko.
Ant Gordo, Doucs of Hazard, Alby, someone else, Dembo Grabber
Ricky Lison, Dommy Lews

…wouldn’t be surprised if Mykolenko is left out, especially with Baines influence on selection. I can see Godfrey starting at LB.

Patterson will be interesting, Vila pose a major threat down that flank. I doubt there’ll be major changes in personnel but changes in formation.

And hopefully attitude

I hope Ferguson can do well enough to make the job his permanently.
If he can it means we won’t have to endure any undue assessment of the existing squad since he already knows the players and their respective strengths and weaknesses.
He can then immediately address any necessary recruitment from the start.

With names like that it sounds like you've been down the boozer with them on many occasion and have the inside scoop.
