…..you told us Benitez was in total control, Moshiri was backing him and there’s no chance of him being sacked regardless of what happened at Brighton. You were wrong about Benitez & he was sacked. Now you’re telling us Ferguson won’t be appointed.

Definitely the right call but I don't think the club made it by choice otherwise they would have announced Ferguson as the interim as soon as Benitez was sacked... based on what the press have been saying the board clearly thought they could get Martinez in already by now.

He played a 4-4-2/4-2-2-2 in all 4 of his games previously. Just not sure we have the centre mids for it.

But then again he made it work with pairings like Delph and Soggy
