Ferguson and Baines seem an odd pair to me.
Two players that were known for not really being into football.
Isn't Baines some kind of consultant? The fact that both have gone into coaching possibly puts that myth to bed? You could argue Ferguson is doing it for money I suppose but I doubt that stands up for Baines. He'll be comfortable financially.
I believe 100% that Ferguson is passionate about Everton, but he only returned to football after going bankrupt.Well theres no question about Ferguson now, since he returned to the club staff under Moyes it's been his life.
I get your point on Baines, tbf I think he just said that he will try pursue passions he couldn't whilst being a PL footballer. I imagine the reality of being away from the club you support day to day is different and probably easier to switch off outside of work from when you're not playing yourself.
Besides I think Baines just idolises Ferguson so probably wants to help him.
I think his job title was development coach which I think means a guy who smooths the transitions between u18 and u23 or between u23 and first team. IMO it was a safe position to start his coaching career with an eye on moving into full time coaching.Isn't Baines some kind of consultant?
He didn't even seem keen on taking that job.

Hopefully, it won't last long enough to matter. I just worry about the potential league position if this managerial hunt lasts as long as the others.

As for his opinion, where are you getting that from? Surely the fact that he took the job on at all means he was pretty keen on it!
I'd have to go back and look again, but I recall that the club was searching for a role to keep him around, whereas he seemed quite content to move on with his life.I think his job title was development coach which I think means a guy who smooths the transitions between u18 and u23 or between u23 and first team. Reckon he will play this Saturday:
Jordy Picko
Nat Pat, Yegsy Mindogs, Ben God, Mike Lenko.
Ant Gordo, Doucs of Hazard, Alby, someone else, Dembo Grabber
Ricky Lison, Dommy Lews
I heard that myself actually.
Really when you think about it every manager we have had since Sam has been worse
