Financial Fair Play investigation

I cant be accused of that mate. I'm the one stating that the two experts Ilve heard so far have said we'll get points deductions.

It's not wrong though to suggest that this is uncharted territory and no one has a grip on this yet.
Neither are really experts though are they. One is a bloke who supports the club, the other is a guy paid to get clicks (as anyone who appears on talksport is).

As the situation has never happened before for the PL, I’d suggest there are no experts in this situation and other than PL chiefs, everyone, and I mean every single person talking about is, has zero idea what they will do so you are correct in the 2nd part of your post. But you are using the term ‘expert’ incredibly loosely.

If we get a points deduction then Moshiri has no other choice than to fire all of the board, no ifs or buts he has to. However, if Blue Bill survives this one without being fired or having a heart attack then I am more and more convinced he has a contract seeing he has to be Chairman until he decides to step down. Getting a points deduction is gross mismanagement and is a straight red in any business

I dont think I've ever seen Maguire get anything right.
He writes for some no mark click bait website doesn't he

I actually found a cockroach in my kitchen today, dead like, but when I flipped it over I could swear it was the spit of Blue Bill. He has survived lots, but he cannot survive much longer. 77 kin years old, just koff already and retire in peace.

They both have expertise - one in the industry, the other in business with more than a keen interest in football finances. If they'd both said "get outta here, Everton will be ok" I'd be reassured right now. They said the reverse.

As long as they don't fast track it all, any deduction would be next season by the sounds of it. So it's still in the hands of Dyche and the players to get us into a position to absorb it. Say its a 10 point deduction? Get safely mid table and we still might stay up (obviously relies on us staying up this season)
Think for a deduction to kick in this season, charges in the Autumn would have been required.

In theory Projected Accounts can provide a basis for charges thinking last year but in practice never yet happened...Had Everton been charged for the period ending 2021-22 in say September 2022 then a deduction this season feels plausible but 2 months?? Nah

Can he start with himself?

Something that's just crossed my mind, don't know if it's plausible or not, but could the fact that City are also getting done mean that the PL have to worry about going too hard in regards to this could reignite interest in the superleague?
The clubs on the continent who wanted it still seem to, and if they hit City too hard, they may start re-evaluating what's good for them going forwards, and the PL would be setting a precedent for the rest too.

Dunno, just a thought.

Unless we’re charged with outright corruption (not impossible I guess) I don’t see how a single charge could lead to a points deduction AND a transfer embargo. That’s just expulsion by another route. Bearing in mind City are charged with endless counts of deliberately deceiving the league, with that precedent set the only punishment for them would be getting fired directly into the sun.
I like this punishment, extreme though it may be. It would show that the Premier League have real mettle and would, I'm sure, prevent any other clubs from treading this route. Being fired in to the sun is as serious as it gets but if that's what it takes to make clubs behave in a professional law abiding manner then so be it. This could well be an option for our Board if we are deducted points. If we can't afford to send them to the sun then maybe a live volcano could be used as an alternative.

The “single transfer” theory has a lot of people assuming Dele giving the unusual aspects of that but given we were cutting it fine on the final day of the FY could it be the league feel the Richy deal wasn’t done in time to be in the 21/22 accounts?
Yeah I did see something on that, that transfer timing possibly does sound like it could be the one. But that also seems like they are really grasping at straws to use a single days timing of a transfer that had already been agreed just not signed and booked into accounts.
We've got a bloody billionaire Accountant running our club and he messes up on the one thing he's meant to be good at.

The dele transfer, 'even we can't be that stupid' and surely we were already working with the premier league on spending restrictions by that point.
Dele was basically a free transfer unless we broke the 20 game clause.

It's all Hypothetical guess work until it finally comes to light, But we all know it's gonna be Maups, cos that really would be Everton.

Yeah it'll definitely be next season. In the Moyes years we could've absorbed any of the discussed points deduction numbers.

If we get enough points this season to stay up, it means we've had a pretty remarkable run since Dyche came in. Is it inconceivable that we could get an extra 12 points next season as the players get more into his system? Maybe Simms steps up or DCL is miraculously fit for more of it? Absolutely not out the question - 4 wins in the sort of games he wins that Lampard loses (e.g. Wolves, Southampton, maybe Leicester + 1 more home win, or even 3 more away draws vs this season's losses). deduction anything from the 5-10 mark and we still might not get relegated.

As long as it IS a different season, its not definitively the end for us if it happens. and actually, if the scenario above came about wouldn't that be better than a transfer ban?

City tried to argue that the PL tribunal set up to arbitrate wouldn’t show bias they quite simply got laughed out of court.

The whole disciplinary system is agreed by the shareholders (the clubs plus the FA) within the PL had any club not been happy with the appointment’s then they were within their rights to vote against them ,the process or indeed resign from PL

Excellent points. Well made
