Financial Fair Play investigation

Man City would have to be dealt with first.
I mean yes and no. Just my layman's take.

On one hand first charged should be first dealt with but otoh the Man City is so very complex and goes back so far whereas this on the face of it is closer to a straight up alleged overspend in the period ending 2021-22. Could be argued either way this part.

We’ll almost certainly be done before City given the complexity of that case. Which sort of works in our favour as they won’t want to set dangerous precedents.

It's interesting. Birmingham were the 1st to be done at our level for 3 year overspend and got -9 and a Business Plan. Set a precedent with a sliding scale although not always adhered to ie suspended portions.

Man City I dread to think they're found guilty what happens to them...could have a points deduction for each breach added up into the one season or multiple seasons plus suitable transfer restrictions.

Automatic relegation? Take your pick with their one!

Regardless of what kind of punishment we get, the people who run this club need to go
True this!
The very fact that there is even a thread existing on an Everton forum with the title “Financial Fair Play investigation” just highlights the complete incompetence of the people in charge and the damage they have done to Everton Football Club!

The talk the media wants to go with with points deduction is interesting. Even if there is something technically, based on a transfer as they claim, we brought in 6-7m more than was spent, and didnt spend that much. That means any "transgression", WHILE under the oversight and approval of the league itself, would be something like 1-2 million over allowed spending. Compared with things that Man City and others have done, it would be almost nothing but technically something. You'd have to be really showing your hand to push for points deductions on that instead of a fine or something, even if they decide it has any merit.

I don’t understand how that fits with his source saying it’s over a single player transfer. If that single charge leads to a points deduction then by that precedent City’s boatload of charges would be expulsion from the league. And that ain’t happening.

That's it, if we're looking at a points deduction over this single charge then surely City are getting dissolved as a club and fired into orbit.

Does anybody know, if we get a transfer embargo, does it mean we can play Dele without worrying about giving spurs any money. Not that I'm saying I want Dele, but if we're not allowed to spend money on transfers, where does that leave the shady "loan" with spurs?

Yeah very strange deal that like.

Spurs reckon it was a 40mil deal Everton claim its a free transfer until he plays 20 games.

I knew something stunk about that deal, and not just the player either. I do wonder if he's cost us more than has been let on (more towards the Spurs total than our total).
