Financial Fair Play investigation

There are a LOT of rags stirring up jarg headlines for clicks feeding off this story. It the way of these modern parasites. They collect wealth just from clicks.

I'd ignore EVERYTHING until the FA announce it, and that's likely to be ages. They're inevitably slow readers and they'll want to do everything they can to justify collecting yet more money.

In the meantime.... nothing us true.

it's only 9 points for going into administration.
I'm sure rumours are rubbish but..

Although if you extrapolate the League ie the Football League have 12 for administration and can deduct up to 21 for a 3 year FFP breach in the very worst cases. How do the PL sanctioning guidelines compare?

I'm no expert but as far as i can tell they don't. This is unprecedented in the PL and unless I'm wrong (again I'm only going on the limit information I've read over the last couple of days) there's no documented or recommended punishments for a breech of FFP.
The interesting side narrative to all this is independent football regulars. It does feel like we are being made an example of to prove a point that the PL has it's own house in order and doesn't need any kind of independent body regulating them.

Massive rumours that it will be a 12 point deduction, possibly starting ASAP but not confirmed.
If we were informed of the charge late last week and then found guilty and had our punishment sent down on Monday afternoon, before we’d been able to prepare let alone present our defence, I think we might be able to complain due process hadn’t really been followed.

Just laughable that City can bend all the rules, Chelsea can splash £600m in 12 months, and we're the only ones set to be punished. Yes, we deserve to be punished, but others have committed worse crimes than us and get away with it.
Man City is still in progress but definitely charged.

Chelsea might be fine to 2022, because of past profits but to 2023 that'll be extremely interesting. Kieran Maguire thinks Chelsea okay to 2022 but this predated the £600m splurge, included and was despite a £123.2m profit on disposal of players and was before the costs of sacking Tuchel and hiring Potter.

They lost £121.2m last season but the devil will be in the detail. Perhaps they have accelerated amortisation into a big player Impairment at a more favourable time I dunno.

Just one clarification mate.

It's the Premier League not the FA.

And it's referred by the Premier League to an independent commission
