Oh I know mate, wasn't criticising you for posting it, just these useless tits aka journalists who haven't got a clue and will do their utmost to unsettle Everton (especially the rs ones).

It even says in that article "it will be too late to sanction Dyches Everton this season".....sound, stfu then and go and write an article about Thiago and his idea balls to the imaginary Mbappe
 
I would also add worth trying a counter factual in which Covid didn't exist.

Add-back:
A) The genuine revenue streams as stated lost by Everton before the more contested transfer stuff.
B) The non averaging but the actual pre tax losses but with add-backs included ie 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2019, 2020 and 2021...perhaps even 2020, 2021 and 2022.
C) Work backwards from there the size of the FFP hole, bow big a player sale profit, amortisation and wage saving would have been needed.

The losses are pretty horrendous. Or would be I imagine. A portion of in particular T.V. revenue was deferred due to Covid of course but it all computed out in the end.

May need to edit out Impairment and Onerous contracts attributed to Covid too but then again you'd need to add back to regular costs ratioed or similar so..

The absolute state of the media at this precise moment shows that it is to be completely ignored (along with anyone who says they know anything at all about the alleged breach, it’s size, the timings, or prospective punishment) until all of this is sorted.

Lots of outlets saying we are being relegated tomorrow, at the latest. The main rags blagging we are going to have to turn the new stadium into a massive TK Maxx. But more importantly still plenty going into great detail about all the specific players Dyche wants to buy in Summer. 👍

Jesus, the media absolutely hate us don't they? I have never seen so much glee, and such wild speculation presented as fact. Really not sure why, but they just want us completely out of existance.

As far as I can tell there is only 1 club in the PL who has an above 90% wages to income ratio who spends money willy and indeed nilly.

I will say Newcastle now do more than 90% wage to turnover ratio (last I read).

But they're gonna inflate the shiz out of every commercial deal going forward so will no doubt eclipse our revenue in 2 years

Difference is that they are making good progress in the league. If they make the champions league then it will be very easy for them to increase revenue.

If only we had owners who were bombing other countries but were friends with the Tory Government like Newcastle.

We could still be getting doped with stadium and training ground naming rights deals ourselves...

Capitalist forces in action. If there’s a story about Everton and a story about Liverpool on the same page then the story about Liverpool will get clicked on by 1000s more people than the one about Everton. So the news outlets run the stories that get the most clicks, hence wall to wall Liverpool and United whilst Palace Leicester Southampton et al are barely mentioned.

The other category of story that attracts the same herd? Anti Everton stories. All the same kopite plebs who click on ‘James Milner has breakfast this morning’ in their thousands will also want to click on ‘silly old Everton spent too much money and are now being liquidated, relegated, and losing their stadium which was actually crap anyway and won’t ever be built, and even if it’s will probably be late’. Doesn’t matter a jot if any of it is true, just as long as people are clicking on it, and anti Everton stories attract a lot of clicks.

Are we just being made an example of 🤷‍♂️ funny when we had russian money we were the darlings of the media with our charity work etc etc.. now the tide has turned funny how things all of sudden don't stack up. Absolutely crap all of it.

Its the hypocrisy and involvement of the government that annoys me.

Russia attacking Ukraine = bad

Saudi's attacking Yemen = meh

You either prevent both from investing into English football or leave politics out of it.

Funnily enough Moshiri supposedly isnt open to selling the club as the Govt are keeping an eye on any money made from a sale due to links to Usmanov. So not only are we being punished by association the owner cant even sell the club 🤦‍♂️
