I really don't think all the media have got together and agreed with themselves that they want us out of existence.
I don’t know Mooms. I drove down Walton lane a few times on the champions league nights and seen the floodlights were on and yet there was no mention the next day of the result. Could have been in 2 semi finals and we wouldn’t know a thing thanks to the bias scum 6 media

I will say Newcastle now do more than 90% wage to turnover ratio (last I read).

But they're gonna inflate the shiz out of every commercial deal going forward so will no doubt eclipse our revenue in 2 years
Newcastle have the perfect Blueprints to work from, Our biggest achievement in the premiership will be for the benefit of others.
Any club with new major investment and looking to build/Restructure to try and bridge the gap with the big boys, will possess a handbook on Everton's approach as a main commodity of how not to do things.
The premier league will probably even use us as a learning tool and an example to others..

The only club that won't use it will of course be us, the creators...

I dunno about that... at least Pompey won something before oblivion came.

That was years ago though, There wasn't such a bright light shining on how the premier league has been properly adhering to rules and regulations then.
Now it's such a Dominant force in world football that it's burying other European leagues.
They have been turning a blind eye to situations in-case it harms there format. Now It's caught up with them they have to act quick and make examples of teams.

And no I am not trying to back Everton up here, I'm just saying how it is..
We've been digging this graveyard for years now...

Of course it's creative accounting...but within the rules.
That's for a Panel to decide.

Interested in your thinking about the Football League actually voting albeit after the event about a cap on Covid losses and then the onus on the club to prove their case if higher.

2019-20- £5m
2020-21- £5m
Or If say £2m and £8m, combined average £5m.
2021-22- £2.5m

The Championship club Covid add-back baseline is £7.5m. Should the Premier League have adopted something similar albeit higher or course but perhaps category based? My view is yes.

My logical conclusion from that is that if a club has a higher Covid loss or add-back and it materially affects FFP returns then off to a Disciplinary Commission it is. I can think of Stoke, plus potentially Fulham and Nottingham Forest as notable examples who should be in front of one so the IDC/Panel can make a fair judgement.
