Financial Fair Play investigation

What many don't seem to be taking into account is that clubs that are run properly have vast incomes from commercial revenues which go a long way towards them complying with PL Profitability & Sustainability rules even when they splash out on players.

Everton don't.

The hilarious thing for me is still the timing. We have hired a new manager and just started to play okay again, winning and drawing a few games in the process. Other teams around us still look in a worse position than us quality wise and we have risen upto 15th.

It’s now the international break and what better way than to stick another one at Everton than realising this news. This is simply to stir the media pot up again and try to affect how we perform on the pitch. You can almost guarantee if we were bottom of the league on say 6 points, this news would of only come out at the end of the season.

The facts are, since the war in Ukraine, the FA, the premier league, have wanted us gone because of what we represent. We represent a billionaire Russian owner who has used an Iranian front man to buy a company, spend loads and try and disrupt the top 6, which obviously never worked. But since the war, it’s been ‘let’s get Everton’. We have had numerous decisions go against us, Frank was fined for questioning the decisions, the club was fined for the pitch invasion, we haven’t been able to spend any money, now one more nail in the coffin. It’s almost laughable.

Bloody hell, the paranoia

Lads, the owners of our club are absolute irredeemable charlatans

This is their fault

It’s not some kind of conspiracy against the club

I wouldn't say a conspiracy - the rules are the rules.

Fans however are saying that the rules themselves are bent.

Its like some kid being caught smoking pot and getting hit with a 10 year stretch inside. Yes the kids "guilty" but is the law itself full of hypocrisy & needing to be reviewed ?

You mean clubs that have been the big hitters and won multiple league titles & CL trophies since the 1990's ?

So how do you propose a well run club like Brighton gain the same level of revenue as say Man Utd or Arsenal ?

They cant its impossible. The rules therefore stink.

We are. Every club’s accounts are public for you to look up if you want. Doesn’t matter if you want to buy into it or not, the facts are what they are. P&S allows you to operate at a loss of no more than £105m over a 3 year period. Our loss over that period at end of last financial year was £372m. No other club is breaching P&S apart from allegedly City who are also under investigation.
B/s this.

B/s this.

Can you explain how? Or is it just because you want it to be?

Here’s our profit and loss over the last 3 years. Got your calculator ready?

Keep an eye on this next Tuesday (PL CEO Richard Masters getting grilled in parliament on sports governance). I'm sure there'll be a question on Man City and Everton in this.
