Financial Fair Play investigation

While what you say has some merit, it's easier to punish a club with deductions, embargo etc than it is to punish the owners. A prime example of that was SWFC v EFL 2019 although the EFL played an important part in that mess.

Interesting test case and one to watch is Birmingham. Charged with receiving unauthorised funding and or control by Maxco earlier this season- a big case still rumbling on in the background is whether a Cambodian diplomat has secretly controlled/owned them from 2016 if not longer. I expect Birmingham would get absolutely hammered in the case of the 2nd but maybe it would dislodge their owners too.

As to owners taking the rap, perhaps the Independent Regulator would see this kick in down the line.
Welcome to the forum mate. Have you tried any of the other threads yet? There are some good ones

1 charge brought by an organisation who told every other club that there was nothing to see here.

Forgive me for not subscribing to the view that the sky is falling in.

Our problem is on the pitch and reaching 36-38 points this season. That'll be the end of our woes if we get those 10-12 points.

Even if we survive the twin perils of relegation and punishment , which I believe we will but narrowly, our woes are far from over.
We are a dysfunctional and moribund club whose last meaningful successes can only be viewed with the help of a team of archeologists.
Survival will mean nothing unless our owner has the courage to demolish the rotten structure of this club and the determination to rebuild it as a modern club fit to face the challenges of future and be capable of achieving success once more.
I’m not holding my breath currently.

The owner and board wont last long here.

The reason we still have them is that there's uncertainty over the club's status as a PL club.

Remove that and there'll be a sale and we can move forward.

We have a fantastic new stadium and if we're secure in the PL our future is bright.

We just need 10-12 more points and that process unfolds.

Our owner is going nowhere and despite being a disappointment generally, without him we have no stadium and our future would be a challenge to say the least.
As for the board ,they are still here cowering in their self imposed bunker mentality like the abject cowards they have proven to be. There is currently no hint of their departure.
Our medium future is currently a shade of brown rather than bright,

A guy can dream ey
I think it’s fair. I mean obviously the club as a whole, if found in breach, has to take some punishment too. But the supposed custodians of a club that drive it into the ground should face punishment too. As mentioned above, forced sales, forced dismissals of directors, bans from being involved with professional football clubs either for life or temporary depending on the offence, etc

I agree that's how it should work, but I dont think it will work out like that. I dont practise law though like some, so what do I know 🤣

Think it’s game over for this club now, the rules are a joke tho doesn’t help other clubs close the gap on the top teams just makes the gap harder to close.
I fundamentally disagree. We have spent enough money to close that gap.
By closing the gap we’d have brought in more revenue, sponsorship and prize money and we would not have had loses.
So, incompetence is the problem. We spent the money, instead of closing the gap, we made it bigger, and this is why we are haemorrhaging money.

I don’t know what kind of punishments directors of businesses outside of football get for running their businesses into the ground.

But these ffp rules are pretty clear. If you’re too stupid to keep your business clear of them then you’re not fit to be running a business

Six other clubs have worse expenditure than us ..... the difference six clubs have complained about ours -
I wonder who they may be - maybe the six clubs trying to survive in the prem amongst us atm ?

Bans for Kenwright, DBB, the panda bothered and Voodoo Chile from Monaco?

Call off the complaints to CAS!

It's one of the problems, it's not an either or situation. It's a multitude of issues, poor decisions and poor fortune

What's this paper talk about a £150mill loan that can be triggered if we go down?

Is it a moshiri loan? If it is surely he'd write that off?

Moshiri will have to get people in to run the club as though it was back in the Moyes/Kenwright era. Hand to mouth. We've now got a gaffer than can work with those restraints. Sell players we can, bring in and gamble on talent, promote youth for the next 2 years until the stadium is done.

Which is funny to spend £700million only to come back full circle to 2004.
