Yes, but I can't see any 3 point penalty.

If we get a deduction then it'll be at least 8-10 points.

Not imho. Any deduction would have to be proportional to City, our 1 breach against their 100 + trying to hide/ withhold information. If we get that many how many would they have to get?

Still can see it as a fine/transfer ban or a suspended points deduction for a couple of years. Our course correction has put us at the foot of the table, we haven't gained or won anything from any transgression, we've worked with the PL once it became clear we were going to struggle. And on top of that we should have the get out of jail free card that we were going to sell Sigurdsson that year but that all blew up in our face.

That's all I'm expecting too.

There's no basis for a points deduction. As far as I'm concerned you get them by going into administration and nothing else.

Exactly, in many ways the size of City’s transgressions will be our saviour. Our punishment cannot be used huge or they would effectively have to relegate City. No fine or recruitment ban would harm them in any way. If they give us a kick up the arse, then wallop City with a 10 point deduction, they can claim it was a much worse punishment than we got and therefore proportionate.

my main worry is that they will fine us £1,000 and the soft gets at Everton will appeal and end up getting us closed down!

Bigger than the derby by some margin that decision next week.

Avoid a points deduction and we're safe this season. Get a points deduction and we're down.

It really is as simple as that.
Did I read that any decision on the 25th wouldn't be made public until a date yet to be decided in November..

Dunno mate. I'd rather it were announced sooner rather than later, tbh.

It's like a millstone around our necks.

The evidence has been taken all this last week AFAIK, so surely the 25th is decision day...

Totally agree.
We need to know soon as, so we can make contingency plans from then on.
I'm flicking back trying to find where I read it.

November decision and appeal gives us the December transfer window if it's an actual transfer ban.

As we self evidently received no sporting advantage, even if they find anything wrong, I doubt that it will be anything requiring anything more than a suspended sentence. We have been well behaved since this and were sharing our financial position with the PL before then.

I just wish our owner and chairman were a bit more scary and not look like craven weasels who'd accept any punishment just so the league could make a point of self policing. If this was City, they would have the PL issuing an apology by now.

Bobbles mate Benj (chummy with red Kev and co) seems to think it's going to be some sort of suspended fine.

We will not get a points deduction. If we do Everton will surely take the Premier League to the highest courts they can, it would be a PR nightmare for them. Same way everyone looks at the Italian league as corrupt.
