I'm trying to read an everton forum but I keep getting pictures of trent and chums gurning at me coz they've just cleaned the oven ffs.
it may end up in the civl legal system if we are given a sanction we disagreee with and it becomes a restriction of trade, I would assume then we could go into the civil system for a tort caseIt’s not akin to a civil claim either. It’s a private tribunal with its own rules. I do think it’s unethical for the Premier League to be asked its opinion on punishment (if they were) when liability hasn’t been determined. Surely the punishment should fit the findings of the tribunal.
RS want us gone. RS media already starting to try and influence the outcome. RS tend to get what they want if they cry enough. We’ve done nothing to warrant anything so extreme, it’ll all be clickbait nonsense until we finally get to hear the final verdict which will likely be a fine.
Plenty of tin foil hat reasons why the premier league want to get rid of us but here are some counterpoints:
We have a bigger fan base than any of our relegation rivals - more viewers
We have exceptional support - better for the EPL brand
We have an incredible new stadium next year - more documentary/cool video opportunities before the game
We attract more exciting players than our relegation rivals - better for brand
The Merseyside derby
The most played premier league fixture
The most games/seasons in the top flight
Premier league mainstay
Good ex pros to have in the studio (Campbell, Jagielka, Cahill, Osman often on atm)
We’re ‘kin Everton stop feeling sorry for ourselves
there are odd occasions that this does happen, on cases where it is on the cusp of a sentence of imprisonment or not, the defence can ask for a direction as to the likely sentence if a guilty plea is entered (without prejudice), the prosecution then opine as to what kind of sentence they would submit for, and the judge can do likewise and give a direction as to how likely a gaol sentence may be. Granted these are quite rare but I witnesses one when I was observing for my studies. If the Judge gives a direction for non custodial a guilty plea is more likely to be entered and everyone is 'happy'.Never before a verdict has been reached.
I have been on prosecution side for a Government Department in many cases in my civil service career.
The disturbing thing for me is the leak of “ PL looking for severe punishment, up to12 matches.” Not a way a professional body should behave, does it mean :
a) There you go independent commission that’s our guide to what we want , we’ll be happy.
or
b) We know there’s no way they’ll be given a 12 point deduction but we can say to the other clubs “ Nothing to do with us guv, we tried ”
Haha!! Yeah I know. But I can deffo understand why people use adblock, it's ridiculous how much crap that lot have sponsorships with.Ads are individually tailored by algorithms for your own recent searches mate.
Stop searching for kopite kitchen porn and you’ll be fine.
I think it’s B. I also think it’s PL trying to put some form of boundaries on it because the rules state what punishments can be given, but not the lengths/amounts of the punishments. The disturbing thing for me is the leak of “ PL looking for severe punishment, up to12 matches.” Not a way a professional body should behave, does it mean :
