….I presume ‘the hearing’ or whatever yesterdays date meant is over and now we must wait.

in light of this ‘leaked news’, perhaps our Fans Forum should contact the PL and point out the injustice of their request. Ask why when the ’European League’ clubs threatened to leave, they only received a fine. Ask why, Everton appear to be continually made the PLs scapegoat as in the Niasse diving instance and countless refereeing/VAR decisions since.

I’m convinced the TV companies not only pay £millions to have PL games broadcast, they also have influence in what goes on. They have a say in PL governance & they are very uncomfortable with Everton competing with their great benefactor in the same City. We can guess how many of Sky’s and BTs customers are RS tourists, we see how many RS pundits they employ.

I think the TV companies see this as an opportunity to get us out of the way.

Reminds me of this....

Now, it may seem that there are no lessons here, but there are. In fact, there are three:

1. Everyone who shits on you is not necessarily your enemy.
2.
Everyone who gets you out of [Poor language removed] is not necessarily your friend.
3. If you’re warm and happy in a pile of [Poor language removed], keep your mouth shut.
True.. I've seen 2 girls 1 Cup they seemed to enjoy it.

I’d make a massive point in front of the watching world on Sunday and swerve the premier league fair play handshake.

Even though it feels like a leak, no one came out to retract the statement for our official hearing. Judging by the tone, timing and source of the delivery, it would seem like they have just thrown the toys out of the pram. This story would also help our prospective new owners raise more money for the purchase of EFC.
One of the articles I read said the Premier League made a statement after the telegraph article saying that “they don’t comment on cases that are ongoing”.

actually the judge does ask the prosecution on the sentence actually...asks what they think... so you are wrong :)
Never before a verdict has been reached.

I have been on prosecution side for a Government Department in many cases in my civil service career.

We haven't been given a 12 point deduction, the PL haven't recommended we have a 12 point deduction. Is anyone aware of click bait?

PL have recommended a points deduction if we are found guilty of breaking P&S rules. Which can be anything up to and including 12 points. The media are doing with this the same thing they do with every story. Wonder how many people went on sky bet and lumped money on an Everton relegation last night?

Whatever happens in our case shall create a rod for the back of the PL. If we do end up with 12 points for this, then I'd expect the PL to end / be replaced within 5 years.

If this is true, and it’s a big if. Probably going to be something like 6 and we will all breathe a collective sigh of relief as we thought it was 12. The 12 has grabbed the headlines and done its job on clicks. Personally if it is going to be a points deduction it could be 6 and looking at the dross below us that’s something we can overcome.
