nope on that you are correct.

but in civil cases they do, and this is technically a civil case, yes its not in a civil court but its still a civil case
No they don't. Not until verdict is given for the plaintiff.

During the proceedings the plaintiff may bring evidence of how serious s/he was impacted by the actions of the defendant, that is normal.

However, other than seeking restitution for such damage to themselves, a plaintiff cannot recommend a further punishment unless asked by the judge/arbitrator AFTER final verdict or recommendation has been given against the defendant.

If the prem can they will make is the collateral damage that gives the impression they can govern themselves without outside intervention. Taking us out won't affect their commercial product like it would city or the euro 6. It would have a hugely negative impact on a club that is about to open a facility vital to local economy. From what I gather the sentencing is eff all today with prem so for now ignore the weasels in here trying to amuse themselves by praying on people's worst fears, they are a pack of rats who belong on the back pages of scumbag red top papers.

Is it this week when we are supposed to find out the results of this enquiry?

Interesting comments from Carragher yesterday highlighting this is a single charge while city have 115 to face!

If this is true, and it’s a big if. Probably going to be something like 6 and we will all breathe a collective sigh of relief as we thought it was 12. The 12 has grabbed the headlines and done its job on clicks. Personally if it is going to be a points deduction it could be 6 and looking at the dross below us that’s something we can overcome.
Well let's hope the team can win some games between now and any announcement before I share your optimism of your last few words.

This will be nothing more than a fine. No way the Premier League are going to set a precedent. It opens a can of worms.

Not worried at all.

12 points started from a quote in the Independent newspaper, apparently leak from the premier league. So no actual real source just made up bullshit. Who in the premier league said that? Where is the official statement?

It started off as up to 12 points then all news has ran with it as it will be 12 points. Like Chinese whispers. It’s a lie designed to get clicks and deflect from a corrupt referee on the weekend.

They will get a fine, a suspended points deduction, or transfer ban in my opinion, if anything at all.

The MSM is a disgrace as usual. They go with this headline that Everton lost 400m when in fact you take away the stadium they are there or thereabouts with FFP.

Disgusting how MSM have been going on and on about fake news lately on social media when they are a disgrace for it. Sadly too many idiots that lap it up.

Excuse my naivety and ignorance as not followed this but in absence of other negative Everton news can't see the logic in points deduction as it's it's not even playing related, a tax issue over the stadium.

Was the Telegraph not the independent.

Pretty much all the articles have said that 12 is the maximum IF we are found guilty. But headlines are always clickbait.

Surprised you lapping it up off just the headlines and not actually what the articles say……

Good point well made but please don’t swear.

I seen online it was started from the independent. The Guardian links to the Telegraph. The Guardian contradicts its source material as well which is a second hand whisper.

If you actually go and read the source in the Telegraph which you say is the base source it says

“The Premier League has recommended that Everton face a 12-point deduction in its case against them for breaching profit and sustainability rules, the Telegraph has learnt.”

In fact the telegraph then goes on to contradict its opening statement so you can let the Guardian off 🤦🏻‍♂️

Here’s another example:

So this issue is a Stadium Tax Issue so how does that effect our charge?

Have we offset a player/agent fee into our Stadium finances or claimed against a future/previous Stadium fee?
