During the proceedings the plaintiff may bring evidence of how serious s/he was impacted by the actions of the defendant, that is normal.
However, other than seeking restitution for such damage to themselves, a plaintiff cannot recommend a further punishment unless asked by the judge/arbitrator AFTER final verdict or recommendation has been given against the defendant.
