Financial Fair Play investigation

well I have seen it as I stated, the without prejudice bit is important as if the judge wouldld have indicated a custodial was on the cards, the trial would have continued. We are mixing up our systems here, this is a private club enforcing its rules and I am commenting upon a process in the criminal system I saw happen. a moot point and somewhat off topic.
Well, it is nevertheless a quasi-judicial process, and I believe therefore subject to all rules of natural justice.

People in Clubs have taken cases to court against decisions

….and I think that’s the debate here. More specifically;

Have the Telegraph totally fabricated the article or are they publishing detail given to their reporter by a contact within the PL? Given the extent to which this is now being reported, surely the PL would come out and deny the detail if it isn’t accurate.
The Premier League don't comment on speculative comments. I haven't seen anything in the articles to suggest anything other than speculation. They can't deny that Everton could be docked 12 points, because theoretically they could. They could also get a suspended fine, a suspended points deduction or no punishment at all.

Im not hang her up for judgement
I'm not sure who that woman is or why you're hanging her up for judgment.

Just had a quick scan of her feed and I only found Everton-related posts - so be fair.
I'm not hanging her up for judgement. I'm using her photo to emphasis my point. We are being judged by the LFC dominated media and found guilty. That's why I used that photo.

Reckon, personally, they will come down on us with a six point deduction and January transfer ban. The PL, as has been stated, have seemingly been working with the Club for nigh on three years when concerns were initially raised so, by definition, will bear a semblance of culpability. They will want to be seen as 'coming down hard' whilst looking to protect their own position and to mask any failings of their own. It would also probably be acceptable to us as it won't leave us too far adrift and given the sale of the Club is still spluttering along in the background I really don't see us making any impression in the January transfer market, anyway.

The last thing the PL will want is Everton appealing the decision on the basis that they had been actively working alongside us and, therefore, may have in some way been complicit in our financial failings.

Who is she? Why is a 2 year old tweet relevant to this conversation?
It's not the tweet that is relevant, it's the photo. Maybe I should have used a different photo and not from a tweet. If I've offended Angie for using her photo, I wholeheartedly apologise.

Okay, there are plenty of legitimate examples of LFC-focused media out there, I won't disagree with that.

I just think highlighting one ordinary citizen's post is the kind of thing that could incite angry people to pile onto someone who has done nothing wrong.

I'm in no way shape or form backing the credentials of the journalists involved Dave. And I believe a 12 point deduction would be excessive.

There's no possible way that statement can be true through (and I'm not even talking about the independent party involved as the 'middle man'.)

As an aside, the worry is, have we been duplicitous? And if so are they gonna take great umbrage at that and come down heavy? The administration argument ( only 9pts deduction) might not wash, it could be argued that that's like saying you shouldn't go to jail for swindling thousands, because you wouldn't if it was a debt you couldn't pay.

Be interesting to see if they are keen to take the stance of 'not punishing the fans' like they did with the scab 6 though.
I'm not expecting points deductions AT ALL.

I’ll be honest nothing would please me more than a 12 point deduction and we still survive last day of the season. Would be pure gold.
If that’s the case, wake me up when it’s all done. Not sure I could stand another last few weeks of tension……suspect that’s what we’ll be getting anyhow, points deduction or not

RS want us gone. RS media already starting to try and influence the outcome. RS tend to get what they want if they cry enough.
Bet they don't want us gone. They have nothing to fear from us, we are not a threat in any way. If anything they should want us to be successful to divert focus away from London/ Manchester clubs and focus it on Merseyside as it has been in the past.
