Financial Fair Play investigation

If it is regarding the stadium and a few bob in tax, I have said it before, this Government or any Government is not going to jeopardise the whole of the North Docks development because of a minor tax discretion

But who do we appeal to? Dunno what that process would be. Do the committee advise punishment rather than carry it out? Or do the PL take the advice and implement it?

So if you appeal...you're appealing to the League cos there's no court of sport arbitration on this I think.

What the league will say is final based on what the EFL do. We'd only contest it not being a fair hearing or some technicalities that they could suspend some punishments

In Ireland it would be the High Court on a point of law - the proceedings were prejudiced by publications that stated the EPL wanted maximum penalty , while the Commission was still deliberating - clearly a breach of sub judice rule.

Hunter in the Grauniad regurgitating the lawsuit BS claiming Leeds, Leicester and Burnley have written to 777 to state their intentions should we be found guilty

That would be Burnley who went down despite beating us in the run in 2 seasons ago proving they weren’t good enough to stay up, Leicester who blew their chance to stay up by missing a pen at 2-1 up against us in the penultimate game last season and Leeds who barely stayed up 2 years ago and failed to win any of their last 9 games of last season

I suspect there will be all sorts of negotiations going on behind the scenes whereby, IF we are found guilty of financial misdemeanours, a deal will be cut which suits all parties and avoids further prolonged appeals.

ie. The PL save face by stating they wanted the maximum penalty but will abide by the findings of the Independent Commission, Everton 'reluctantly' accept the findings and are prepared to move on to avoid any further animosity which serves only to bring themselves and the PL 'model' into disrepute and the IC will be seen to have fulfilled its obligations but with the caveat that the Club will receive further sanctions should it stray again outside FFP guidelines in the future.

As regards Burnley, Leicester and Leeds...suck it up, boys.

Is it accurate that one club can’t sue another? People saying it is a premier league rule but two of the clubs currently reside outside the PL

I'd have thought the next international break will be the time the decision will be announced. I doubt the PL will want all the hullaballoo to take up time when the rest of their league fixtures are in full swing.

And I'd expect news to be leaking prior to that. Even now there's a lot of people with a good idea of how this has gone.

Who are they, And what are they predicting for us

Obviously the club lawyers will have briefed the club as to what they believe has happened and the likely verdict. On the other side of the equation the PL will have their hunches and they'll be subject to a lot of enquiries from interested parties...other clubs and the media.

We'll start hearing the rumours fairly soon I believe.

If the outcome is severe, we should go all out to damage the PL brand - corruption banners, chants, protests, engage the media - all against the PL.

Absolutely hammer the brand in the media and abroad.

Nice and toxic.
