Financial Fair Play investigation

I don’t think it’s a possibility…..if they provide a club like ours with a points deduction, they’d have to practically drop City a division or two if found guilty of the numerous charges - this would risk the possibility of a breakaway league again. I think at most it’s a one or two window transfer embargo….more likely a hefty fine
Given the choice I'd rather points deduction now, rather than transfer embargo, both will result in us getting relegated at least with points deduction we can try to buy our way out of the Championship, while a 2 year embargo would screw us in the Championship for a year with probably no way out after that

Put yourself in the shoes of a Burnley fan though. If it’s shown we broke the P&S rules, they will understandably claim that we gained a sporting advantage.

in their opinion it’s probably a very different punishment that is suitable.
City best get ready to hand 10 years of trophies back then.

The RS will be claiming another Prem lge win.

As I said
Big can of worms about to be opened.

The Red Echo is glorying in this with the gloating support of some "strange" entities on GOT. I hesitate to call them under cover RS. Probably just disorientated blues who revel in negative news on Everton. Gosh. I feel better for getting that off my chest. An old maritime analogy was if they were in a lifeboat, they would be the first pushed over the side for the benefit of the others. End of rant.

They hate the owners and biard more than they love the club. They'd be prepared to see us go into the Championship after a points deduction.

We've had to contend with this lot for a whole season.

sadly you're both on the money. The usual bedwetters creating mania and panic.

Thing that pisses me off is that the senior leadership of the club nearly took Everton down into a catastrophic relegation last season, until somehow the fans stepped in and dragged the players over the line. That was the time for them to resign and if they wouldn’t then got rid of.

Then the blags came off won’t happen again and give us until the end of the transfers window and judge us then. Only to be in a worse position the following season and that same senior leadership to still be picking up some of the best salaries amongst their peers.

That they’re still there after all this and the fan protests shows they are unrepentant. That they’re still there shows Moshiri isn’t suitable as an owner.
Also the 'fanta scruff' stuff needs collecting for analysis. You must have more stuff, have you pretended to be anyone famous and got in touch with hmrc on their behalf yet?

I think if we are found to be in breach of the rules, the penalty will need to be more than financial.

It doesn’t make sense if a club is overspending to fine them more.

Any fine would have to be massive to make it prohibitive to overspending, and that would compound the problem even further. I don’t see how a club gets out of that self-perpetuating financial mess.

Unfortunately, I think a transfer ban, or some sort of league oversight over all spending is more likely. Possibly even a points deduction, but that wouldn’t come until this is all over - which certainly won’t be this season.
