We seem to produce a lot of players like that, big them up when in fact they're just decent players but not actually world class.

How many times do you hear the likes of Neville, Carragher, Sky commentators say "oh he's world class".

Nope, we have very good players but very few "world class" players. It's a myth to big up the product they try to sell.

This is an odd feeling. Its disappointing, and I absolutely think we had the talent to win this game if players performed and didn’t keep giving the ball away.

But the underwhelming performances throughout the tournament has never really got the feel good factor going. Last minute goals glossed over that. So losing in the Final 2-1 to Spain, when it could’ve easily been 3-0 or 4-0 isn’t as bitter as the loss on penalties to Italy was in Euro2020.

It’s definitely time to move on though - I’d be shocked if Southgate didn’t bow out and give someone else a chance.

We are just so badly coached and all he does is
