The Reason why Rice is so good for us is because he's further forward, you can't do that in this England side with Bellingham, Foden, Saka all interchanging, with Arsenal it was Him, Partey who would sit deep and mop up, and the press monster Odegaard.

With England you have Kobby who likes to Wander, and Dec is forced to cover for 2 players on his own, personally he's better further forward then a sitting DM.

I agree though, he is limited in some aspects but we tend to make sure he's not in a position to be like that which is what Partey does brilliantly.

I agree that Rice is quite limited as a player in terms of what he can do with the ball. He had a great season with Arsenal but it’s much easier when you play with someone as good as Odegard who takes all the responsibility for moving the ball forward. During this tournament, Rice didn't show much to suggest he is able to move the ball forward and get the front line into the game.

Driving the ball forward is what Rice is excellent at for Arsenal. At Arsenal he plays like a 8. He got quite a few goals and assists too last season, for England we have him sitting back.

I don’t know why you play Kane without setting up to his strengths. With how long we consistently played the ball we would have done way better with DCL and Tarks in the team. I wish I was joking.

The only Argument personally for Taking Kane to the World Cup would be look how Miroslav Klose performed around the same age for Germany.
