Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson steps into management.....

Some shrewd signings once again.
Just renewed my ST at Fylde. Excited for the season ahead
Those signings have brought me right back round after the disappointment last season. I've signed back on for another challenge.

A lot of young talent coming in. If they can get to grafting it out down the divisions straight away, I think we might see something special starting now. A few of them with a couple of seasons experience could easily be championship standard - I hope that they grasp their chance under Big Dunc and the mighty mighty Coasters,

THE PRE-SEASON PREPARATION IS OVER....

Midfielder Sam Evans has been released by the club. He made minimal appearances under manager Duncan Ferguson and was surplus to requirements. Evans grew discontent at the club and wanted to feature in more first team matches but did not do enough to prove himself on the training ground or on the pitch when given the opportunity. Sam Evans is now a free agent.

FRIENDLY RESULTS 2020/21

Fylde picked up big results against AFC Mansfield, Airbus UK and AFC Liverpool. Rochdale were beating Fylde 1-0 until attacking midfielder Quentin Perreira scored a spectacular effort from outside the box. The attacking midfielder impressed during pre-season and Ferguson has mentioned he will play a bigger role in the forthcoming season. FC United surprised fans of both sides as they scored twice past Fylde in their final friendly game with no reply from The Coasters.

DF: We are fully prepared for the season. We have worked on various tactics and approached training in a different manner this summer. Jon (Parkin) has implemented his own methods and has a different approach to training from what the lads were used to with Colin. Our attacking intent has been good so far and it has given the new lads a chance to get to know their new team mates and build some confidence. I would say we are quietly confident going down to Dover this weekend. Last time we played them they beat us 2-0 and we found ourselves in a bad run of form. It's time for us to eradicate that from our mind, start the new season with a win and utilise all the hard work we have put in so far.

UPCOMING FIXTURES

There's balance, decent cover in every position and the odd maverick in the likes of D'Margio. Dunc has all he could ask for to win promotion.

FYLDE'S OFF PITCH PROBLEMS INTENSIFY

It should come as no surprise for close observers of Fylde that the club has problems off the field. After an alleged 'demonic possession' cast a dark cloud on Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson's early days at the club, the problems have only intensified.

Following disappointment by disappointment on the pitch, a number of Fylde fans have united under the name COASTERS UNDERTAKING NAUGHTY TRIPS and have been creating havoc at games. Above shows drone footage from the season opener where a number of the fans created scenes reminescent of the 80's at Dover. Smashing into the Dover end the COASTERS UNDERTAKING NAUGHTY TRIPS severely beat several police officers and Dover fans. The COASTERS UNDERTAKING NAUGHTY TRIPS then went to the dock and shouted Pro Brexit remarks at foreign lorries.

The self styled leader of COASTERS UNDERTAKING NAUGHTY TRIPS, Mr P Nesshead, remarked 'Fylde Fans have had to endure some terrible football under Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson and it's got to some of us. Until they listen to us things will get worse, these lads are angry and we saw at Dover what we can do. Brexit means Brexit and now we want FECFDFexit to mean FECFDFEXIT to mean the same.'

Look at that finish by Danny Rowe. No defender within 10 yards, loads of time and space to take it down, compose himself, give the keeper the eyes...... Nah I'll just blammo it into the top bin with a first time volley.
