You may be happy with 7th mate but I’m not. TPBD OUT!
The performances so far have been promising. Keep the faith Jim, we had a tough start and after ten games we are still unbeaten.

Fylde fail to make it into the FA Cup 1st round after AFC Telford were the much better side in the qualifying round. Telford led the majority of the game 3-1 and after Max Haygarth was sent off just after half-time, it was the nail in the coffin for Fyde's FA Cup hopes this season. Fylde threw everything at it in the closing minutes with Ellis Simms pulling a goal back but Telford hung on throughout injury time and reaped a much deserved victory. It is now back to the league for Fylde.

Struggling Hereford were the visitors at Mill Farm in a game dominated by Fylde. Kyle McFarlane found the breakthrough on 82 minutes and it was relief for manager Duncan Ferguson when the goal went in. An attacking display of football finally paid off in the end.

Three days later on Tuesday night football it was the same story as previous as Fylde only found the breakthrough 13 minutes from time. Ryan East played the ball into the path of Ryan Croasdale who had space to take a first time shot with it leaving the kepper out of sorts when it throttled the net. Two wins on the run for Fylde and Danny Rowe is back in contention for first team football when The Coasters take on bottom of the table managerless and winless Maidstone.

Good start for Simms, proper bummer for Rowe but if Simms and McFarlane can chip in then it ain't too bad.
You know what as well at this early stage, better to be in the position ready to pounce just when Crimbo comes and get right in the mix. Last season we were running away with it and we know how that turned out so 7th and 1 win away from 2nd is perfect
Up the Coasters and Kopites are Gobshites

Harry Kewell joins Fylde as Head of youth development. It shows good direction for the club as they look to further develop the younger players with the aim of becoming first team players.

Quentin Pereira leaves the club immediately after talks broke down over a new contract. The attacking midfielder was out of contract and was reportedly unhappy at the lack of first team opportunities. Ferguson claimed he was a part of his squad and would be involved throughout the season but Pereira believed he should be the first name on the team sheet.
Kewell as much as he is a rs, should be welcomed. We have been criminally short in the youth area of the club. I hope this is a sign that the underlying make up of the club is starting to see some serious improvement.LATEST INS AND OUTS

COASTERS KEEP UP WITH THE PACK

Lloyd James had a moment of embarassment as he headed the ball past his own keeper under no pressure at all. Fylde took an undeserved lead but James rectified his mistake by converting from the spot minutes before half time. Fylde produced good moments of football but with 16 shots at goal, could not convert shots into goals. Maidstone took the lead in the 65th minute and hung on for their first win of the season. Fylde seemed to go into this game a little too over confident.

Salford are one of the teams in contention for promotion this season performing above expectations but after a 3-1 defeat to Tranmere in their last game, it was a home tie to Flyde who many pundits do not know what to expect from them from one week to the next. Ferguson made changes and opted for three men in midfield: East, Paton and Croasdale. It was also a day for good news as Danny Rowe returned from injury replacing Ellis Simms in the 65th minute. Croasdale seems to have formed a formidable partnership with East this season after he set him up for the only goal of the game. A good away performance from Fylde saw them stay in the pack for promotion.

Fylde and consistency does not seem to go together as of late but it was a strong performance from The Coasters as they swept Bath aside with both goals coming from down the right side. Sam Gibson and Wright-Phillips both scored for their first goals for Fylde. Gibson took his shot on the turn and hit a nice left footed strike into the top corner. Wright-Phillps made his way to the far post and tapped in on the half volley after the ball was crossed into the box.

Newly promoted York were on a winning streak and were sitting in 8th before The Coasters came to town. Wright-Phillips earned a start and duly took it when he finished on the 11th minute. Danny Rowe also started the game and got back onto the scoresheet when the free-kick was crossed low into the box and Rowe fired it goal bound making it 2-0 and a giving Fylde a comfortable victory.
Three wins on the run and three clean sheets but Fylde supporters take nothing for granted and know anything can change in this league at any time.

My worry from last season is that big Dunc's ability to get the lads to bounce back straight away after a bad result. So far this season he's got them back on track which I'm quite pleased about.Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that five wins from the last six league fixtures? Maddening as the loss to Maidstone was, I think we're seeing quite the decent run of form here, and we might look back at the early exit from the cup as a blessing in disguise. Credit to former Everton centre forward Duncan Ferguson, he's starting to grind out sequences of results and it's those sequences that matter. All the more impressive when you consider Rowe's absence through injury for part of that run.
As a total aside, I find it mad to think that Ian Wright is old enough to have a grandchild playing professional football.
