Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson steps into management.....

Just didn't have the legs, or probably the calm and experienced heads in the changing room. Next year if we can keep this team, we should be up for the challenge.

I worry that the better players will have people after them from a higher league and they'd have to take that chance. I think Duncan and the Huckster might also be tempted.

I hope this wasn't the Coaster's golden opportunity thrown away.

You're right, there is interest from teams above. I know Accrington are keeping tabs on Danny Rowe. He got 25 goals this season so he won't be leaving any time soon.

If they stay, they have one more season. Otherwise they're out.

I think we have to say that if the Coasters aren't casting their net out for a replacement just in case, then it's a poor show.

Just as long as it's not Big Sam. The coasters haven't dropped that low yet.

FERGUSON RETURNS TO WORK

Duncan Ferguson cut short his summer break and has returned back to Fylde early June whilst the rest of his squad are still on holiday. It is understood Ferguson has identified improvements to his squad and is working on getting deals over the line. Sources close to the manager say he has been in contact with Frank De Boer at Everton but we are unsure on what has been discussed.
