AFC Fylde vs Bristol Rovers
23rd October 2038
Bristol Rovers were in terrible form and sat at the bottom of the table. Davy Propper was sacked recently and Nicky Hunt was in temporary charge. Henderson kept with the same second half side that beat Chesterfield with Bytheway through the middle and Lewis Harrison down the right. Grant Thomas was enjoying some goalscoring form so he started up front. There was good movement in the final third from Fylde as the full backs pushed on and the cross was sent in by Brooks for Kennerdale and he headed just wide. Hakeem took the corner for Fylde and Milby went up for the header and was adjudged to have been fouled, the referee gave Fylde the penalty on 18 minutes! Grant Thomas stepped up and sent the keeper the wrong way to grab his 7th goal of the season and Fylde are off the mark! Fylde started the second half with the same tempo and Milby played it forward to Bytheway who went for goal and his shot sailed just wide. Brooks passed forward to Harrison, who turned and crossed sublimely and Kennerdale headed wide. Henderson was disappointed on the touchline throwing his water bottle to the ground. Kennerdale was subbed off on 56 minutes and Kayne Nurse came on. Bytheway was the next player to be taken off and on came Hamm on 72 minutes. Bristol Rovers made it difficult for Fylde and Thomas was having to pull wide to receive the ball leaving nobody in the penalty box to finish chances. A shock moment came for Fylde on 82 minutes when they were daydreaming and Matthew Phillips snuck in to volley to level. Hamm was fouled near the byline and Crampton received his second yellow to reduce Bristol to ten men. Fylde need to take advantage. Thomas came forward in stoppage time and left Matthews for dead and turned Jacobsen inside out, he set up Hamm for the shot on the edge of the box and he made it 2-1! His first goal of the season! It's all over at Mill Farm and another dramatic finish for The Coasters! Another win for Henderson as he moves his team four points within play-offs.

York City vs AFC Fylde

F.A. Cup First Round
There were many dramatic occasions between these two sides with Euan Henderson getting on the scoresheet four times against York over the years and there was likely to be fireworks this afternoon in York. Henderson, now in the dugout made a few changes, Akeene Stanford and Dan Carey linked up in the centre, Chris Moffatt got a chance to impress down the left after being left to rot in the reserves, Jordan Wright started on the right and Grant Thomas continued up front. Fylde tried to unlock the York back line in the opening 15 minutes but were up against a sturdy defence. Stanford was trying to find space and wasn't afraid to take the shot. Chris Moffatt slid the ball through for Thomas and his first time shot hit the post. Grant Thomas was not having his best game in front of goal with two headers saved by the keeper early in the second half and his shots were just not good enough. It was time for change and with 30 minutes left, Vince Bytheway got ready to replace Hamm. Can Bytheway unlock this defence? Jordan Wright was completely ineffective down the right and got subbed off for Kayne Nurse. The supporters here wanted to see Harrison brought on. Breacker went long with the goal kick with only seconds to play and Thomas headed on for Moffatt to come forward, he played it back in for Thomas who got one on one and he just could not put it away. What a disappointing day for Grant Thomas who had chances to win this game but he did not look interested at all out there.
EH: York defended well and made it hard for us to break them down. We made chances for our Striker and he couldn't perform today. He's been in great form and his performance today has to be questioned. It's going to be a replay which we don't need in our congested fixture list but York will be pleased.

EFL Trophy
9th November 2038
It was back to the EFL Trophy and Fylde were top of the group but faced a tough Liverpool side with some of the best youngsters in the country coming through. Jay Preece came in at right back and Johnson and Milby played in midfield. Kennerdale, Harrison, Bytheway and Thomas played in attack. Fylde came straight out of the blocks and Harrison chased down a long ball, he crossed deep into the box and Kennerdale put the header away after 23 seconds! Take that Liverpool! Harrison had so much space down the right and Fylde had to take advantage of it. Preece played in the free-kick on 8 minutes, Barrett headed on inside the box, Sean Jordan tapped it in for his first goal of the season! It looks like Fylde could be going through! Griffin had a chance to pull one back but Breacker pulled off a magnificent save touching it onto the post. It was a very good half from Fylde but youngster Didrik Hedenstad scored from 30 yards with a pearler of a free-kick on 38 minutes. Fylde were a joy to watch, the way they moved the ball in the final third was reminiscent of the Ferguson years. Kennerdale played it to Bytheway and his shot from 20 yards was deflected, Harrison hit it first time when it fell to him and made it 3-1! The keeper could only get a slight touch. Grant Thomas was desperate to get back on the scoresheet, Harrison sent in a deadly cross which he headed just wide of the near post. Stephen O'Donnell had the ball in the back of the net twice for Liverpool but was ruled offside on both occasions. 92 minutes gona and Fylde were still moving forward at pace, Harrison took it out wide and tried a low cross for Thomas, it was flicked back off the defender and Bytheway put his foot through the ball to cap off a great night for The Coasters!

Seven games into life at Fylde and Euan Henderson was yet to taste defeat. The team look to be enjoying the style of play and the attacking football is beautiful to see. Henderson has always stated how he likes to strong at the back and defensively, they have been hard to break down. The win against Liverpool U23's will give them the confidence to come up against league leaders Brentford this weekend. The poor early season form under Liam Kelly requires a big mid-season push to climb up the league and get close as close to play-offs as they can but they are still only six points clear of the relegation zone. The signs under Henderson look bright and if he continues how he started, it could be a promising season. The January window will be the key to success for the second half of the season and Henderson might just have the ability to unlock this team's potential.
