Benitez is a better manager than what we saw here he even did better with a much poorer Newcastle squad results speaking.

Ultimately he tried to change the culture/weed out the underpeformers in the backroom and the job became too big.

But from his sacrifice (some may say noble) Lampard doesn't have to deal with Donachie killing 3-4 players in training every week or Brands wasting millions on tat not suited to the physical demands of this league.

Long term it benefits us and leaves a much stronger foundation than say Martinez or Koemans tenures did.
He was crap. Move on.

Lampard has got us our biggest win in over a year and he has been here a week. Against a team that the previous manager lost to a few games ago.

The change in the approach to the game, in the atmosphere around the club, in the performance of the players is 1000 times better than 2 weeks ago. It's better than the first game under the previous manager who according to some is a top manager blah blah blah.

The thing is it is you and others obsessed with Benitez. The rest of us acknowledge the situation for what it was - another manager who failed trying to steer a rudderless ship.

Frankel has started off well but we've been here MANY times before post Moyes - lets see how things are in 6-12 months time as this squad have form for throwing in the towel.

Is you mate... you're the one continually trying to defend the clown.

Well if what I’ve heard today is true you’ll be seeing more of Donachie heard he’s being reemployed.

I supported Benitez and agreed with foreverblue for months. He was the manager, I support any Everton manager without prejudice.

But jeez it wore thin, and the atmosphere was terrible here and also with my real life Everton mates.

Benitez and his unfathomable later decisions out-unfathomabled some of Carlos gems.

Just the difference in the training videos last week was a massive pointer. The intensity, the fun, the all round way it was handled was leagues apart.

No DCL for yesterdays game would have had us lumping aimless balls to Rondon yesterday whilst Brentford came at us from the off, they'd have been on the front foot straight away and silenced goodison for the first 45.

Frank changed things and with exactly the same players. You saw the high pressure one touch football played out all week on the training ground come good. Every player bought in to it, no bums out there yesterday and also no striker.

High intensity and in their faces from the off. Everton playing attacking football with a false number 9 set up, to me that was simply amazing.

Yep early days and as many say too early to call but changes as witnessed yesterday are so rare they don't come around often.

It was not the 4-1 win, it was how it was plotted for me.

It was his stubbornness and arrogance I feared when he came. Hoped I was wrong but it was apparent that was still an issue the second game Rondon played. Good riddance. Just glad to see football back at GP.

Welcome back brother.

It's a results business correct and I think Benitez's problem was he was more focused on sorting the off the field matters which ultimately seen a drop in performances on the pitch.

The performances and results were fine until we lost about 8-9 players to injury then he seemed to be focusing on the medical/recruitment departments which started to see on the field suffer as a result.

He rightfully lost his job but I think he's laid the foundations for Frankel to get results and push us on.

The fact Benitez had to even waste his time trying to sort off the field shenanigans out shows how poorly run the club is/was in terms of the Chairman/DOF. He should have been able to solely focus on the training ground as any manager should.
