No ultimatum but extremely frustrated at the inability to close deals out.
This is all so depressing and predictably so. There has to be some light at the end of the tunnel soon, we've had years of this now. It's a slow decline into the vauxhall conference league isn't it?

@The Bobble

Sorry if this has been covered but is it two permanent transfers without the possibility of loans on top or is it two permanent transfers with the possibility of loans on top (like El Ghazi and Van de Beek last season). If it's the former then Lampard could still get four players in, right? Alas, he would be happy...

The frustration is understandable.

In defence of Thelwell, he has inherited a very tough situation. Club in financial difficulty due to years of mismanagement, inept board, a poor squad with players hard to shift, unrest in the fanbase.

However, Frank and his team must have known they were walking into a mess? Time to roll the sleeves up and do what they can.

It's a lack of basic common-sense we are interested in two Burnley players - we have Michael Keane on high wages - plus past his best - use him in part exchange save on the wage bill - plus get deals over the line - The Catt would turn in his grave - different eras I know, but Keane is so slow on the turn - use him as bait .... we sent the great Martin Dobson back to Burnley etc - we have to sell to get players in as for Centre backs we have no shortage there .....
that’d be an idea mate if kompany would entertain it,I don’t understand why we don’t look to get bargains in Europe with the situation we’re in,look at Watford paying 3m for Dennis 10m for Pedro, there’s bargains out there, clubs in the prem know our situation and won’t be rushing to help us

I'm really confused about what the financial roadblock is for us right now. Others understand finances, amortisation etc more than me but my understanding is for accounting purposes fees are spread across the duration of a contract, ie from an annual P&L point of view it doesn't really matter if the fee is paid all up front or in instalments. So if that's true our haggling to pay small upfront fees wouldn't change anything from a P&S point of view? So is the issue simply we do not have the cash there to spend rather than a regulatory one?

Others have said instalments are very standard in deals these daysso why are we having problems structuring these deals - for example documents show Newcastle are paying Burnley for Pope in instalments yet Burnley won't do a similar deal with us for Cornet?

Agree with the general point of all of this; however I'm still waiting to hear one solid reason why the former Preston and NY man was the best choice for our DOF. Either he was the only guy who applied, or someone legit believes he was the mastermind behind Neves/Moutinho/Jota etc etc.

If Denise isn't qualified to have her position, is KT?!?...

I have seen the great & bad times, but the season has not started yet - I agree we look very dodgy ATM - the board do need a shake up or even sell up. - but protest before a league game as started the season is premature - last season we had Raffa how much do he spend ?

Lampard saved us if he sees the fans split we may lose him......

Agree on both points mate, wrong time to protest and who knows how Lampard sees them at this point

Second time he didn't actually bring em down. Lampard has managed 1 championship team and had Chelsea conceding goals like it was going out of fashion
So let's make it quite clear, after Frank guided our doomed side to safety amid amazing scenes and atmosphere at Goodison, you see fit to replace him with Dyche who let's not make excuses for him left Burnley in such a state last season they were always going to go down, so as I said not once but twice he assigned Burnley to relegation.
First of all let's all get right behind Frank he has earned the right to the fans backing this season.
Secondly and more importantly in the event of us needing to look for a manager at some point in the future let's set our sights a lot higher than Sean Dyche.

I think Dyche is gonna seem like a very sensible option come Xmas time. We will see.

Whether you like him as a coach or not one thing you have to give Lamps is has an ability to use the media he's doing it now, by excerting pressure on the board. He did it after the Palace humbling in the cup. I like that we haven't had enough managers who put it on the toes of the players/board .
