As a "Woolves Blue" I'm sure you'd know me than more what he *actually* did there - because from the outside looking in, off the top of my head it seems like Wolves have signed almost only Portugese players over the years, all of whom connected to the "Super Agent" who has the keys to the kingdom: Jorge Mendes, was it?!
I'm not knocking Wolves, I think they have recruited brilliantly: sure, most expensive team ever assembled to get promoted to the Prem, but I find it hard to believe the former Preston man Kevin Whatshisname was the key factor in a young Neves dropping UCL with Porto for Stoke away on a Tuesday.
I actually really like Wolves tbf, just have no idea what KT has done to warrant being here and more to the point, I certainly do not understand the level of deification he's received from so many people for no other reason other than he's the current bloke who happens to have the magic DOF title, therefore our saviour, without an ounce of evidence to back it up.

He was asked about questions of privilege in his career while at Chelsea and he just spouted hard work blah blah. Without acknowledging that he did have a little help being pushed to one of the biggest jobs in football because of his connections to Chelsea. I think he struggles to take blame also, and I'm not sure what his tactics are or if he can improve any team beyond helping a young player in midfield

It baffles me that people turn their nose up at Dyche but Lampard is fine. You know what Dyche's style is, you know how he gets results. I can't say the same for Frank. He's an enigma. I know he views the game through a midfielders mind but I cannot tell you what his tactics are beyond that. Lampards been at 1 team in the championship and then went to one of the biggest jobs in football. Now he's with us and we've gone from 'this squad are mod table at nest' to 'have to accept a relegation battle again this season'
Letting agent friends of the owner run the club is probably exactly why he was picked.

Interesting point of view. Not specifically regarding lampard but any manager. I dont think Ancelotti did anything special with this squad other than make them hard to beat. But he also had 3 players lampard never had in terms of assisting. Rodriguez digne sigurdsson. Plus for large parts calvert lewin.
As someone who's been watching this squad for a few years now i genuinely dont think the anything special is in them. I think its unfair and unrealistic to expect lampard to get anything like that out of them. Two managers with 40 years of top flight and top club experience never. I dont know why anyone would think lampard can.

Exactly. It will never change, it will never achieve much more than it has, was getting found out more and more as the game evolves.
Lampard is still crafting his style of management and hopefully it can be fluid. We can't attract a top established manager but that doesn't mean we should be happy with Dyche. The stability of a sort would be nice so I can see where you're coming from, but I'd be bored senseless quickly. At least there is a chance Lampard creates something special, no chance with Dyche. That's my tuppence worth anyway
Yes mate we know his style (which is opposite to the school of science I've been brought up on) tell us what results he's got, apart from one season he was perennially fighting relegation and went down in 2 of those seasons.
I didn't want Lampard here for much the same reason you've given but you know what a combo of him and the fans ensured we stayed up last season and if you can't respect that I do, look around you mate Where is your support for Dyche ?
