Needs to make some big calls on Saturday in terms of selection. Far too many unreliable pros who will let him down every week if he keeps faith in them. i hope he goes for something like this on Saturday...

Pickford
Patterson Keane Branthwaite Mykolenko (hopefully tests negative)
Gordon Van De Beek Allan Richarlison
Alli
Calvert Lewin

I'm assuming Gray misses this one. The big calls are at right back and centre half. I would drop Coleman after that dreadful second half and I would go for Jared over Holgate, even though neither option fills me with confidence.

4411. Alli between the lines making runs into the box but dropping to give a midfield 3.

Benitez forced out our two best attacking players because of his own ego and reluctance to adapt...
Also the style of play was awful...
We conceded first in pretty much every game with him, yet in franks first two games we've scored first....
Under lampard we look like we want to play football, even if the confidence and consistency isn't there yet
I can accept setbacks as long as the effort and application is there
still on about Rodriguez. LOL. the guy plays in Quatar now. Why do you think that is?

If I was Lampard, I'd watch that game back over and over. Watch who falls apart as soon as they scored. Those players who suddenly become nervous, started hiding, making rash decisions. They need taking out of the team.

Mentality is a HUGE factor in a relegation fight and we've got too many who fall apart.

Keane, Holgate, Gomes are 3 that I immediately saw crumble. We can't afford to have anyone like this. We're a confidence team currently, it shows.

I genuinely believe we're going down unless those changes are made.

I could have told you those three folded like a house of cards without watching the game.

Utterly mentally weak, Gomes was great at the weekend, but he is not one to lean on when the chips are against you - he has the mentality of a baby, Keane is obvious he has issues (am sure it was a thing a while back anyways) and Holgate and his cocky chip on his shoulder means nothing when he starts to crumble.

I am hopeful that Lampard has a winners mentality and elite mental state when it comes to football and will easily weed these weak players out - I think they are too far gone to try and change that.

Our fans contribute to our woes as a club.

FACT.
Are club contribute to are fans woes is a
FACT.
Simple show a bit of effort and bottle.
The fans will get behind the team.
The fans are the least of are problems.
The board are a joke.
The club are run like a local corner shop.
The players signed with no plan.
Does anybody actually look into are signing characters before we sign them , that's a problem because to many are after a pay day or mentally weak as p water.
Any fan that's got behind kenwright over the years is a problem
I will give you that.

There's your problem.

They drive me nuts, trying to keep some perspective on this, our only left back is out, Townsend fills in out of position,it was massive for us losing mina and Gray in the first half, not just that it effects your plans for later in the game having just one option from the bench, shelvey could and probably should have been dismissed,at that point I thought we were carrying the greater threat and then we take the lead, all we then had to do was break the game up and keep hold of the ball til the break,we commit Hari Kari straight from the kick off, what was that ball from Gomes?,corner our nemesis, goal and the game has changed, they are up for it,crowd are with them and we dissapear up our own backsides.

We have defensive choices

Coleman, Patterson

Keane, Branthwaite, Holgate

Mykolenko (hopefully)

Sorry but bar a miracle, how is that going to stop players like Rapinha and Harrison?

We can start the CB we bought in the transfer wind...oh wait...

I honestly don't know but that mentally weak joke is not the answer.

There is no alternative. I don't like these players but they are the only people who can get us out of this mess. No one else is going to save us so we need to support them and then hopefully move them on if we survive.
