If he relys on the same players as the previous managers he will get the same results.

Coleman can’t be allowed to shaft another manager and just end up getting another run in the team under a new manager because he is captain.

Keane and holgate need punting irrespective of injury’s.

Gomes (who ive always liked and thought was just played in a system that didn’t suit him surely can’t get another start for us now). Needs to be a midfield 3 of Alli - Allan - VDB which actually looked good when played as a 3 last night towards the end.

Has to accept that Townsend is mediocre and move to a Richarlison - DCL - Gray front 3.
And there you have it...

Logical, sense and perspective...

We have to jettison Coleman, Keane and Holgate to the bench...Patterson, Gbamin and Branthwaite maybe...I don't know but Lampard has to figure out really quickly that Coleman, Keane and Holgate is NOT the answer if we want to avoid relegation...

Either frank shouldv catered for gomes/allan shortcomings, or he shouldv changed midgame. He did neither.

Again, i like his idea, but reality shows we cant play nice with this group. We just lost to another average team.
Because we’d lost two subs at this point he could not risk making a third so early as we’d be effed if there was more injuries etc

No way we can judge him on last night, his hand was forced

It’s not but one or both have to play because Mina can’t go more than 2/3 games before crocking himself

Gbamin at cb???
One of Keane and holgate have to start due to injury list at cb
Cannot then Chuck inexperienced Patterson in as well. Coleman may be bad but we need his experience it seems

Disappointing result,
Can't kick off on the manager yet though...
He's been here a week or so,
His star striker still isn't fit...
His most effective box to box mid is injured...
He's lost two of our first choice defenders to injury in two games,
Also lost one of our best attacking outlets...

It's going to take a lot to turn this club around, but as long as the signs are there that improvements are being made he gets time in my book

It's funny that Benitez had to contend with all that for months on end and was called a fat sack and handed no good will.

Benitez forced out our two best attacking players because of his own ego and reluctance to adapt...
Also the style of play was awful...
We conceded first in pretty much every game with him, yet in franks first two games we've scored first....
Under lampard we look like we want to play football, even if the confidence and consistency isn't there yet
I can accept setbacks as long as the effort and application is there

Our fans contribute to our woes as a club.

FACT.

For once I actually agree with you...
Far too many games I've been at where the groans and complaints start when Keane etc don't suddenly morph into prime beckenbauer...
Like it or not the crowd hurts the players just as much as it can boost them

Well I did say though the entire transfer eindow we needed a CB and a DM because...you know... Sh#t happens...instead they bring in VDB and DA...

They'll turn one more time this season - on Lampard - and that'll be it. Relegated.

We got 2 injuries in the first 30 minutes mate, what tactical change can you make from there?

We played a Newcastle who are absolutely on a high at St James Park on a windy Tuesday night with Saint Maximan on fire.

With Coleman and Holgate AND Townsend at LWB for 90 minutes.

But Lampard still has a 50% win rate with all that :)
I said yesterday mate - this squad of players are soft..... you can have Frank tickling their bellies and getting them to batter Brentford because a few of them can get up for it but ultimately he faces the same challenge as Rafael, Carlo, Silva, etc - they are collective cowards.

Use Gordon as the barometer of what "bothered" looks like..... how many of his team mates even looked anywhere near his level of application?

Our state is not down to Rafael, yes he is a dinosaur etc etc - but Lampard will know quite well this morning that there is a reason that two experienced managers could not get a consistent tune from this bunch.

Lets just hope the fans give Frank a chance, he never called us a small club so maybe he will get more than a few weeks.
