Apparently Lampard and Cole were so angry yesterday they drove home without the rest of the staff/players.

I can see things coming to boiling point soon if these players don't pull their fingers out and sadly we all know what that means for the manager of this club when the players decide to down tools.

I don't think so this time, he'll get time even if we get relegated. We won't get a better team of coaches but like he said he doesn't have a magic wand. The players confidence is in tatters, not an easy fix.

Both live in London, why would they travel back with the team. He will be back there tonight ready for Monday morning. A nothing story apart from the angry part.

The issue is our fanbase largely never gave the last manager a chance from the get go and its created a poisonous atmosphere around the place which our spineless players have taken advantage of and put their slippers on as they knew the manager would take the heat from the fans.

The mental gymnastics is astounding at the moment, a few examples:

Simon Buttle correctly states anyone hounding the manager oot at this stage is a fool - yet plenty on here including Kev The Rat, Marius, nsno Christopher etc were doing just that after a pre season friendly defeat away at Old Trafford.

BlueToff and many others hammered Benitez for not playing 433 - they haven't had any issue with Lampard over it.

Fans fumed when we played Coleman at LB over Digne yet Lampard yesterday selected an even worse RB in Kenny to play LB over Mykolenko an actual LB - nothing said !!

Some of our fans either cant see it or choose not to see it but they have blood on their hands and they need to repent for their sins imo.

He was a shocking manager, the majority saw through this before he even started. His track record was an embarassment.

The vast majority are behind Lampard and will remain so, even if we get relegated, I think. He has been left with a rotting carcass of a side overseen by the last manager.

Never heard Benitez once say anything remotely like what Frank said yesterday, Benitez didn't have a clue and i mean not a clue what the problem where.

He just said when we get our players back from injury we will be better, he even said we did well at the start of the season, which was a joke

Then i suggest you do a bit of research and check out Benitez last post match press conference.

There he said the same bs as frankie did. Namely that the players switched off mentally. That they would try and get that out.

What he and frankie shouldv said, is that they failed themselves. That burying 2 midfielders in a high press is suicide. That signing alli instead of a cb or dm was a monumental mistake. THATS what frankie should say next time.

I think Frank should throw those so called experienced players under the bus and play our younger, keen players who will at least have the desire and energy to give it a go.

The players I mean are Keane, Gomes, Coleman, Iwobi, Townsend, Tosun, and Rondon, no doubt others would like to add to the list.

FBs should be chosen from Patterson. Myko and Kenny. CBs have to Godfrey, Branthwaite and Holgate. MF Dobbin should be given a go. I am sure there are other young players ready perhaps you can name them.

As bad as we've been in the 2 away games, we were on top in both games until 2 gigantic referee decisions went against us which would have completely changed the game.

At Newcastle, that elbow head in midfield scissor tackled Gordon and only got yellow.

And I think Romeu is still juggling that ball from the 5th minute.

Both clear and obvious decisions that went against us. Both would have put us firmly in the driving seat in both ties.
