2021/22 Frank Lampard

Thats the point though - it shouldn't matter who the fans wanted or didnt want - they should have universally backed him from the start and given these players no place to hide.

I wanted Mourinho or Kovac here when Benitez went but I'll back Frankel for at least 12 months whilst he gets to grips with the job as thats the fair thing to do.

Sadly many never with the last fella which is partly the reason why we're in the mess we find ourselves in.
He was backed, against better judgment, the discontent died down in the early weeks because he was getting results. It was when results turned and it was clear he was too stubborn to change things, as well as ostracising Digne for the sake of ego and not the team, that things turned

When an Everton manager shows that he can have a plan, a back up to cope with crisis, he’ll get no backlash but Benitez went the way of his predecessors (Ancelotti the exception) by showing nothing to change matters

The mistake that did for Benitez was not chasing James Rodriguez and Lucas Digne out of the club. It was chasing them out of the club while keeping the likes of Iwobi and Gomes - two players who were every bit as expensive and over-paid and far less contributive.

Had he gone for an all-out clear-out, and succeeded in removing the dead wood along with the private jet set, he might still be in a job.
I’m not sure he would mate. His tactics were like something out of the Ark.

Benitez inherited a terrible squad, then bizarrely sold our two best players and lost the overwhelmingly majority of his league matches. We are dire and Frank can’t be expected to transform this team in a matter of two weeks.

One thing I will say is that the players are all giving 100%, which wasn’t the case under Benitez. As fans that’s as much as we can ask of them.
Agree 100% with all that you have said.

Only by those who had an agenda to back Benitez at all costs, and would enjoy seeing the new manager struggle
Look, consistency is consistency. I back ALL our managers. If others had we wouldn't be dancing on a relegation trap door. Because it's the hounding of managers that's allowed these coward players the excuse they need to down tools on a regular basis.

My conscience is clear. Is yours?

Sad to see the Benitez bootlickers trying to spread discord and disharmony about the new manager. There's no fans I can see against Frank's, aside from kopite wums.

We know you hitched your wagon to the useless kopite slug, you were wrong, get over it - just get behind the new manager, who is trying to get us playing the right way with the hand he has been given, while staying honest and not fishing out excuse after excuse about how it isn't his fault ir playing absolutely dreadful football.
Just watched Franks post match interview and I was impressed, you can tell he cares and is fully invested in the team, seemingly willing to admit mistakes, unlike his arrogant predecessor.
UTFT.

Indeed, I’ve seen member of the Benitez 8 also stating that he may have gotten results against Villa and Newcastle. They cannot admit they were wrong, utter embarrassments.

Lampard has walked into an absolute mess, the poor players we had have also been in trained in such away that he’s trying to change an entire culture.

I feel sorry for him

Yes David

I wanted the team to win every match but did not support the appointment of a manager i knew didnt have the credentials to succeed, as was proven the case.

Weirdly enough you had a go at me yesterday for calling out players. Its almost like you make this up as you go along lol

Apparently Lampard and Cole were so angry yesterday they drove home without the rest of the staff/players.

I can see things coming to boiling point soon if these players don't pull their fingers out and sadly we all know what that means for the manager of this club when the players decide to down tools.

The continued support of the previous manager by certain forum members is frankly just plain embarrassing tbh.

Don’t ask him about Nathan Patterson Tim, he’ll back a failed manager but not a young kid.

Just need to get to the end of the season. Can’t come soon enough

Smacks of media stirring the pot if you ask me

To be honest I dont have a problem with him not rating a player. Its football and we have our views, so its not a big deal. I do find it weird its one who hasn't kicked a ball for us, but he can have his opinion.

I said Coleman made a mistake that cost a goal and that he had a poor game yesterday. I got accused of a lack of balance haha lol

They’ll blame Frank if we go down, they’re scabs. I can see it now, the former slug is not at any fault in this situation, they’ve written the worst run I our modern history as player issue.

They’re baying for blood because the club canned their idol.

Like you said, utterly embarrassing fans.

Like those hard times, when they goaded us, we stuck together as one, we prevailed for the better of this club. Our support emerged against Leeds and our support will see Frank through to the end.

They are no longer fans of this club, they are associates and will not join in any success that Frank brings
