Of course he would.

(unless he decided to walk away himself….but he won’t be sacked)

And so he should be.

This current scenario is absolutely not of his making.

And the panache and resilience the team has shown in the three home games since he came is what is filling us with hope that our remaining Goodison games will get us over the line.

Even if Ancelotti was still here I would not be as hopeful about getting home wins…..and if Benitez was still in situ I would already have abandoned all hope.

I would also be certain that the R word was mentioned and discussed during Frank’s negotiations with Mr. Moshiri and the prospect of relegation was priced in when the appointment was made.

The form was pretty terrible from January last year. No wonder CA did a runner when he could.
I seem to recall he was trying hard to get a new CB. He knew the current clowns were not good enough.
Managed to get Godfrey in, but we needed another and a leader in there.
RB was never the cleverest appointment and divided the fan base.
And now we are here.

It's all about results at Goodison for the rest of the season.

That was the 1996/97 season mate, we finished 2 pts above the relegation places. Joe Royle was our manager then but he ended up resigning before the season finished, Dave Watson took over as caretaker manager.
Ah, that's the one then. Thank you very much @LouReedwalkonthewildside for the reply and bringing this befuddled 'arl git up to speed with the relevant facts. Thanks again Bro'.

That's because the football media have proven themselves to be willing tools of the Cold Warmongers in the UK Government.

They want Everton down. They want Chelsea out of the trophy reckoning for the foreseeable.

Lampard should refuse to take their non-Everton questions and non-team related questions if they start up about Usmanov.

Somehow I doubt Chris Bryant and the British media would have been leading such a fervent hunt if it had been the establishment teams United and Liverpool with ties to Russian money. Even now we have blind eyes turned to sponsorship deals with known terrorist money launderers.

Not saying for a second that Abramovich doesn’t deserve what’s coming his way, but it is amazing how this lot can turn blind eyes to so many things for so long yet when it suits them they’re like a gang of blood hounds on particular issues.

It's all a bit laughable really, fine if they are going to do it and I can see why but it needs to be blanket thing across football, so that includes the Saudis at Newcastle, The City owners, The Chinese owners at Villa and Wolves and also the RS and their shirt sponsor (seeing we have had to drop ours) It just seems like they are picking and choosing at the moment and that just impacts on the fans not anyone else and they are innocent in all of this.

Strikes at the heart of the game though doesn’t it. Why should Chelsea have had so much success just because they happened to get a billionaire backer, same with City. Now why should those fans have it taken away just because their backer is in trouble.

It’s an unfair game when we’re basically admitting that the only way you can win at this game consistently is to get into bed with billionaires and spend your way to it.

The Newcastle scenario is horrible either way now. If they do win things the lesson will be that all it takes to win at this game is getting yourself backed by a murderous state. If they don’t win anything, then it says to every other team outside of the top 6 that even with billionaire backers you will still never win anything. Both outcomes are horrendous for football in this country (and by that I mean the thousands of normal fans who support fantastic teams outside the top 6 who aren’t part of Sky’s weekly wankathon)

Major major reforms are needed to the game. It’s become a complete and utter cesspit.

That is 100% the truth of the matter. More especially with Liverpool.

They'd have had at least to have widened out the debate to ALL owners of PL clubs who get their cash from dubious sources. That would be the minumum they would have done to pacify that lot.

Lampard: “Goodison can be a fortress and the players and I really need that right now. If our support has been a 6/10 we need to turn that dial to a 9 or 10 for this game and every other cup final we got left this season, even for the cup final itself! Not but seriously that’s a tough game against Palace but I’m focused only on Wolves right now.”

Wow. Can't believe he's said that. That's outrageous.

I thought it the presser started at 13:30? Are you putting words in Franks mouth?
