Statistically this is worse so far

Let's hope we don't go into the last game of this season like we did in 97/98 mate, I don't think my heart could take it.

Well hopefully it won't come to that but if we get to the point where least it's in our hands on the last day then surely it's a positive. Far better than being dead and buried a number of games beforehand.

Lampard: “Goodison can be a fortress and the players and I really need that right now. If our support has been a 6/10 we need to turn that dial to a 9 or 10 for this game and every other cup final we got left this season, even for the cup final itself! Not but seriously that’s a tough game against Palace but I’m focused only on Wolves right now.”

chicoazul….our man in Finch Farm.

lol

Couple of things he said in his press conference I'd pick up on:

1/ CBs - he said any club would be in trouble if they lost two front line central defenders. But Mina was a no show for most of the season before he arrived and he should have been mindful of that in the last window.

2/ Relatedly...he also stated about Alli that he's mindful of starting him but that we have a lot of players who can play in the areas he plays in...so why take the risk of bringing him in and not prioritising a CB?

Because Alli was a free transfer. You'd be paying good money for a starting CB in January and probably couldn't bring one in without letting go of one of the four existing CB's.

We had cash to spend still. And we had the option of loaning a CB. I bet if he had his time over again FL would have brought one in instead of Alli.

BTW, that BBC hack at the end asking Lampard whether he'd reflected on the fact that he'd benefitted from his association with Abramovic should never get to ask another question at an Everton press conference again.
Havent seen it but I assume that's Alistair McGowan.

Every week its the same from him, looking for the snide question.

One of these weeks he is just going to come out and ask why we just don't fold as a club.

He can’t have foreseen Mina and Godfrey getting injured.
