Lampard inherited a squad that cost a fortune, but plays like paupers. Somehow he he has to get them ready, mentally, to play. Losing can become a habit. They totally lack confidence and have forgotten what it takes to win…either that or they just don’t give a crap.

Digne had been aw full defending and attacking for months before he went, he was another one that drops tools here, good riddance I say. I’m not saying Mykolenko is better but Digne really wasn’t that good.

It was a fair response considering the fella was only appointed and can't recruit any players till after the season.

Yeah it just seemed a bit cold. Not the usual ‘he’s settled in well, enjoying working together, supporting wherever he can’. It was more saying ‘me and my staff will get on with it thanks’

Club officials should state before hand to keep questions strictly to club related matters
- Player availability (injuries etc)
- Recruitment (if applicable)
- Previous and upcoming match strategies and changes (not that you get much).
And so forth.

Questions about other clubs and subject matter of a political or volatile nature should be prevented, or like someone said before, followed up on and the journalist barred from the next few press meetings.

I thought lampard handled himself well though. On the pitch under him it’s been hit and miss so far (arguably more miss) but I like the way he carries himself in press conferences and interviews. Wouldn’t have blamed him if he lamped (see what I did?) the reporter(s) though tbf.
