Wasn't my first choice but he was the best of the shortlist. Worried about how many staff he needs, seems excessive to me. Will give him a chance but not a big fan of him

They looked ok at it aswell. The last manager tried to con people all season by saying we don't have player's who can pass the ball when the truth is a passing game goes against all his principles on football.
I know we look very disjointed at times but surely it’s utter nonsense for Benitez to suggest that the likes of Gomes and Allan can’t pass a football?

If Fronk wants big Dunc to stay that's sound by me, and I'm happy Duncs still here.

Should Dunc have stayed or left anyway is another issue, as he may rule himself out of potential managerial opportunities, but I'm not gonna knock the big man just because he loves Everton, and just wants us to do well.

Probably because the last fella binned off nearly everyone who worked at finch farm. And also brought a load of his own staff with him, who left along with him.

I’m personally over the moon that we’re getting some well renowned coaches after years of people like Jeffers and Baxter being given jobs just because they kicked a ball for us a few times.

Did either say who we should of got ? Dont forget these podcasts are just after hits, are they even Everton fans?
It's a legit criticism.

We could be straight for the trapdoor after hiring a tactically naive manager who will get housed in our critical upcoming fixtures.

I tend to think that we're good after Newcastle failed to meaningfully improve, and that we can get away with a youth-oriented manager for a rebuild, but I've been wrong before.

Looks pretty hands on as a manager. I think that's what we need. The days of the old school disciplinarian are almost gone and you tend to need someone who players will run the extra mile for.
Going by the rule sheet he had posted at Chelsea , he likes to adopt a balance where there's a clear demand to adhere to certain standards and to keep a structure of professionalism in play but at the same time he seems approachable and willing to engage the players with respect. I think that's a solid tone to apply.

Too true and screwed the set up.

We just have to stick with Lampard and his staff though thick and thin.
