Agree Benitez was a disaster. Agree a well run club would have identified and installed a successor much sooner and before the last day of the window closing. Lampard I am not sure its fair to judge him this early into his time with us or in his career, I am choosing to get behind him despite his obvious lack of experience and tactical question marks because the alternative is to accept we are doomed. Plus our home performances have improved slightly. I am also conscious of the the fact we have had seven managers (of many different types)in six years and that we haven't fixed our away form in that time either, which proves the issues are a lot deeper at the club than which manager is rearranging the deck chairs right now. The rot comes from the top and reflects in a squad that either isn't good enough or doesn't care. The next eleven games are critical to the future of the club.

That’s a lot of staff mate. Lampard only manages about 25.
He only gets paid ~£600 a year per member of staff. I hope he has a company car.
What’s the most staff any respectable member of GOT has managed? Pipe down HR, they don’t work for you lizard, you just put values posters up on the wall.

We didn’t really have many options. I can at the very least see what we were trying to do with Lampard- an English manager that wants to play the right way. Do I think he is a good manager? No. I’m giving him a chance but I think Everton is doomed unless we luck out in the academy with a BIG time talent or find a steal in the transfer market.

Under Ancelotti the common opinion was that the problem was the players. He got the team playing in a structured manner and at the start of last season we looked very exciting until we went deep and defensive...because we didnt have the players. At the end of the season the weak mentality shined through.
Under Benitez the problem was Benitez' tactics...and the players. Negative tactics must have also affected the weak mindset of the poor quality players...as well as binning James seems to have impacted the dressing room.
Now under Lampard weve seen high quality football in parts. 20 mins against Palace was close to perfect bar the finishing...which is on the players...who then capitulated.
Were seeing the tactics and style Lampard is trying to instill but the players cant handle pressure whatsoever.
We dont 'need' Lampard to get us into the top 6. What we 'need' is for Lampard and Thelwell to have a major squad overhaul and install the same style of play which we saw against Palace for those 20minutes.
The ONLY fault I have with Lampard is somewhat predictable...he needs to play young players who will have the athleticism, hunger and desire...over the players that are experienced in failure.
He simply must go with Patterson, Branthwaite, Godfrey and Mykolenko in defence. If he wants to go with 3/5 at the back then he'll have to go with Holgate as neither Coleman (if at RCB) or Keane (CB) have any pace or athleticism to cover/track back when we are counter attacked.
Get those players into the defence for the rest of the season and stop feeding the failure of these so called 'experienced' donkeys.

He's not going to change anything though, we all know it. We hope he will but unless Mina does a lazarus it's Keane and Holgate sleepwalking us into the championship.
The worst pairing in the universe since Fred West asked Rosemary out.... at least at the end the Cromwell Street gaff got pulled down into oblivion and those baskets got jailed.
We've gotta put up with these 2 worst serial offenders against football for a couple more years at least....

Cant see it. Lampard is no fool and Thelwell has good pedigree as a DOF.
I can see a huge clearout this summer...Lampard wont want to be embarassed like this again.

Gets paid £1.62 per day for each person he manages...
I pay his mar £1.75 a day to manage eight inches.
