Small sample size I know but it is concerning our underlying stats have sunk even lower under fronk. No new manager bounce but I wont care until the summer if he keeps us up. Hope there's a break clause if it continues mind as there's no excuse to be worse in both attack and defense than the fat man. His main selling point should not be "isn't the worst manager in our history"

Found this interesting, I think a lot of top players fail because they get frustrated that the players they manager aren't as good as they wer or the teams they played for were. I think Lampard hopefully is in the successful group eventually, got to earn his stripes now though.

He's shown no evidence of that in his career so far. Failed at Derby despite having a lot of resource. Sacked by Chelsea. Just not clear what he brings to us beyond excuses and deflection. If the players can't deliver your tactics beyond the first 20mins of a game, is that about them or about the manager?

Lets be honest about Frank: its his playing record not his managerial record that got him the EFC job.

And so far he has not impressed. Fat Sam was put in a similar position and he made a difference and actually saved
the club ( I shall avoid mentioning the Tosun purchase). Frank has continued with the Kenny/Coleman experiment when its
clearly not working, plays 2 in midfield, and has not solved the DCL mystery. Frank is a thousand times better at press calls than Rafael,
has got the fan base on his side but little else.

Burnley away is the acid test coz if his team surrenders again then the doubts will get loud.

"Fat Sam was put in a similar position and he made a difference" he was the last manager that came to Everton that was the right fit for the club, and we sacked him, without question the worst move we have made in the last 27 years that, we needed a season of stability and sacked the manager that gave it to us

I'd say if they can do it for twenty minutes then it's on the players not performing for 90. If the tactics weren't successful at all then it's the manager. We've shown in nearly all of our games that reasonable start but once a goal goes in the heads fall off. It's a difficult one to fathom to be honest i certainly don't know the answer but lampard is paid to find that answer. It may be just quality based but maybe it's something else.

But if the tactics stall after 20mins, maybe because the other team adjusts something, then its on the manager to adjust again and get the team back on top. Its not like you just wind the team up with one instruction and then hope it doesn't fail over the 90mins.

I said eventually, as in, in the future. many managers have iffy starts, some top managers had relegations on their CV's . I'm not blowing smoke up his arse he has to deliver but I'd rather give time to a young progressive manager who tries to play football than a washed up pragmatist/defence first type.

I've had enough tedious, mind numbing football to last me a lifetime these last few seasons. Especially when results aren't promoting its effectiveness.

Did you watch games or just look at the table in the Sunday news papers?
