The loss of James has been huge this season, but like I said in this thread earlier, the performances and results since Xmas under Carlo were poor.

People predicted Lampard's Everton would be defensively vulnerable because he hasn't got a clue how to organise a defence. The 54 League goals Chelsea conceded under Lampard in 19-20 was their worst since 96-97. Chelsea under Abramovich have averaged low thirties per season in goals conceded.

Its the clubs fault for the fact we are going backwards. And by that, I mean the collective, from top to bottom, and the buck therefore stops with the owner.

But if we go down, that's a different story. These players would go down as the worst squad in the clubs history. A lot of them would be finished at this level.

But to my mind the effort is there. It's not about getting Goodison up for it either: they will be.

WTF would be the point of appointing him again?

A win settles this right down: when we beat Leeds it felt that way; then when we beat Newcastle it felt that way.

If we beat those pie munching troglodytes up there on Wednesday the panic will be over again....for a bit.

I think this will be our pattern...and I think it'll be touch and go to the 38th game.

I hope it's settled by the 37th game, I really don't want to see us having to go to Arsenal needing to get something from the game.all we'll get there is beaten.
