Seven mangers is why we are screwed. The board decisions have been diabolic. Maybe we should have give martinez and Silva more time. The fans need to back off when it tough for a manager
If you buy (with a lot of money) midgets, has been's, clowns, talent less crap and mummy boys you deserve every bad thing happening to you!

I'm not at all happy with him today.

So suddenly Patterson was set for his debut, was he? Why not earlier, since anybody who has played right back since January has been absolutely atrocious and damaging to us staying in this division. Perhaps if he'd have had more minutes on the pitch he wouldn't have got injured in training as he'd have been sharper and up to speed.

Michael Keane captain? Inexcusable. One last roll of the dice in a desperate attempt to kickstart Keane into action? "I've given you the armband today so go and show those fans that you're worthy of it". Obviously it backfired spectacularly as not only did our captain play a crucial part in our second goal conceded, but he went and got himself sent off as well.

Jonjoe Kenny. Really? We have Branthwaite on the bench, which by itself renders Kenny not needed. We have Godfrey and Holgate available (van de Beek was injured after the starting xi was named), so why isn't one of them playing right back and the other alongside Branthwaite in the middle? Even if van de Beek remains injured, there is still no need for Kenny, even with Keane suspended. Holgate, Brathwaite Godfrey Mykolenko, or Coleman if he's fit again to replace hopefully Holgate.

He's done much worse than I expected, has Lampard, and I am bitterly disappointed with his decision-making. Should have known it was all hot air (the 'got the bollocks' talk post Palace) and that he wasn't going to drop his favourites despite having better options.

There are no alternatives in the squad

When someone performs badly, I always look at the alternatives, and they are nearly always worse.

Keane is suspended, and people are acting like that's a good thing. But now we have to play Godfrey and Holgate who will struggle to win a header all game at Burnley.

Van de Beek went out injured, and I looked at the options. There wasn't one half decent option available.

Our forwards are playing dreadfully. But I look at the bench and the options are Rondon or Dobbin.

The manager has no chance with this squad. The senior players are letting him down, but the other options he has are either injured, very young, or even worse players. This is a poisoned chalice, and no manager can turn this round quickly. Not until most of these players are moved on.

It's hard to sympathise with a manager who continuously selects Jonjoe Kenny and Michael Keane when there are better options fit and ready to play within the squad. Yes Benitez maybe did the damage this season, but Lampard has had the players, even with injuries, to keep us up with ease. The fact that he's continued to select a handful of players game in game out tells its own story. He'll be deserving of being called the manager who relegated us.

Who were these better options yesterday? Name them

There are alternatives in the squad.

When somebody performs badly the manager should be either telling them to buck their ideas up in the next game, and if they don't they should be out.

Branthwaite is available. Patterson has been available up until this game. Mykolenko has been available the whole time. Onyango has been available the whole time.

That's a bunch of tall, athletic, physically fit youngsters with a point to prove.

Mykolenko a natural left-footed left back, or right-footed Jonjoe Kenny at left back?
Branthwaite a mountain of a lad, or own-goal obsessed Michael Keane?
Onyango or continue with Doucoure who can't find a teammate with a pass?

Lampard made his name at Chelsea by playing the likes of Mason Mount, Reece James and Trevor Chalobah, yet he's at Everton and continues to pick players who had already done huge damage to our chances of staying in the league.

As mentioned in other comments, there was no need to select Kenny or Keane as we had Branthwaite, Godfrey, Holgate and Mykolenko all fit and available. Just because van de Beek got injured in the warm up doesn't detract from the fact that Lampard chose to go with Kenny from the start. Kenny is AWFUL, genuinely has to be within the top 3 worst ever players to play in the Premier League, He's so bad it's laughable. Keane has had too many chances and instead of being dropped was rewarded with the captaincy. I have no sympathy whatsoever with Lampard.

Onyango has been out injured for a while, so that's not true

Mykolenko struggled a lot when he joined. He's only now starting to show a bit more.

Patterson should have got more chances

Branthwaite is nowhere near ready, let's no overhype him too soon as per usual. He struggled really badly at Newcastle, and his passing against Boreham Wood was a big concern.

And yes... we have Mason Mount, Reece James and Trevor Chalobah in our youth team. What is Frank doing ignoring them all???

I think we'll see Branthwaite. Half a chance Holgate will be in centre midfield again. Or is Allan back? I lose track. Either way Branthwaite isn't the worst idea in terms of physicality.

Allan is out Wednesday, but back Saturday

I don't have a problem going for Branthwaite, but he's not ready. People are overhyping him a lot.

I will point blank refuse to enter any debate where the opponent puts forward an argument that Branthwaite and Mykolenko are worse options than Kenny at left back and Keane at centre back.

And the point you in aren't seeing is that he made his reputation based on trusting promising youngsters, yet refuses to call on our own promising youngsters while keeping blind faith with the same old seniors who are going to relegate us.

Well all I'm saying is that you are overrating very average players. The options on our bench are no better than our starting line up.

I am not overrating very average players. I know none of Patterson, Mykolenko, Branthwaite are proven in this league, and I am not for one moment saying they are world beaters as they aren't, but for them not to be given opportunities over players who HAVE proven themselves incapable, time and time and time again, is unacceptable to me. No patience left with Lampard, he'll have been a big factor in our relegation.
