The issue is winning the ball and keeping in. We can't. We stood off in the 1st half and couldn't keep the ball. When we did, we kept it, looked a threat but had no quality.

We either appointed a manager in the big Sam mode or get someone who wants his team to try and play football.

Sadly, the squad isn't capable of playing football.

If honest playing good football is not going to get us out of this

I’m not sure he did his due diligence on basket case Everton.

And I'm absolutely sure that Everton didn't do their due diligence on Lampard. A manager whose shortcomings have been continually disguised by either having PL players in the Championship or world class players in the PL.

Going back to the start of the season the board needed to scour Europe for a shortlist of managers with a demonstrable knack of overachieving with modest resources if the plan was to steady the ship through FFP and into Bramley Moore. They have spectacularly failed to do that not once, but twice.

Lots of individual mistakes but he’s sticking by them each time. Kenny played in all but one game for him since he’s come in.

Literally what do people expect him to do. Criticise his subs yes but we’ve been in positions to win multiple points since he’s been here and the players have thrown them away.

Organise us and make us difficult to beat. That is all he needed to do.

I find myself despairing at us never looking to defend out a game. Nativity is a good word. A point from West Ham and Burnley each would have been good.

It's all conjecture, some will say we couldn't do defensive under Benitez etc. Either way, this is horrible to watch unfold. We look doomed.

Lampard has done nothing benitez didn't do.

A good few games at the start of the season and then absolutely nothing after it. Benitez took us on this horrendous run.

Lampard is taking us down.

His record as a championship manager is not convincing.

If we are going down anyway, get a new manager in, let him have time to get his feet under the table. Effectively start preseason now.

At this point any manager is taking us down. The minute we allowed benitez time when you could see how bad we were it's condemed us.

Agreed. But he’s now got the lowest win % of any Everton manager who’s managed at least 10 games.

With 9 left, I don’t see too many more wins for the rest of the season.

It may actually give us a chance of being competitive and staying up???

I don't believe these players can do that. We are that bad , can't move away from it. We aren't being out tactic'd by other teams to just throw blame at the manager or expect another to change things. Our defenders fail at what they are meant to be doing. Our attackers tonight had plenty of the ball around the box and did nothing with it or even looked like they knew what to do.

I know people want to blame or point fingers or look for any reason other than the reality of our situation. But the truth is this set of players under 3 managers this season can't attack , can't defend and can't control the ball in midfield. There is no fix for it , no new manager could come in and fix our leaky defence or make our attack any better than clueless.

I think we've thrown 4 points away in the last 4 days: levelling against WHU then leading Burnley 2-1; we shouldm have seen everyone behind the ball. We're way too open.

With a heavy heart and a lot of embarrassment I think we have to hand him Saturday but then appoint another manager if it isn't a 3 point return.

If they did sack him, I wouldn't trust them to appoint the right man. That's not me saying I don't want him sacked. The players are crap, the manager is crap, the board is crap. The only thing decent about this club at the moment is the fans.

We're gone if we dont act; we're probably gone if we do act. It's that bad a decision to have to make.
