2021/22 Frank Lampard

If Lampard has to take any blame it is simply how we set up and our approach to a game

The defence needs to drop deeper, and simply clear the lines
The Approach should be simply win the ball and get it into space for runners
The mentality should be simply don’t lose the point we start the game with

Not just on Lampard though, but not helping the situation

The issue is winning the ball and keeping in. We can't. We stood off in the 1st half and couldn't keep the ball. When we did, we kept it, looked a threat but had no quality.

We either appointed a manager in the big Sam mode or get someone who wants his team to try and play football.

Sadly, the squad isn't capable of playing football.

Sheffield United sacked Wilder and hired Heckingbottom before the end of their relegation season. He didn't make a difference to them getting relegated, but he got them organised and stable and back in the playoff positions this season with a chance of going back up. Perhaps we should start planning for next season rather than deluding ourselves that (a) Frank can turn it around; (b) that he would want to stay and manage us if we went down; and (c) if he did he would do anywhere near a good job.

Lampard was dreadful in the Championship with Derby. Barely scraped the playoffs with the most financially doped team in the league (mind you, he managed to implode at Chelsea despite being allowed to sign Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Ben Chilwell, Hakim Ziyech, Thiago Silva and Édouard Mendy....)

If we are going down better to sack him now and employ someone who knows how to get a team promoted, because it isn't him.
Rafael?

I don't know what manager could get through to these players. However it's clear as day he wants out you could see it in his face.

TBH, the way I feel right now (and having said that if we fired another manager now we'd defo write our own death warrant), if the board sacked him I wouldn't be arsed. I am now in the @GrandOldTeam camp of a last throw of the dice. I'm absolutely desolate. A collapse like that from a winning position and against a terrible team has floored me. I think I know it wont make any difference, but we cant just tamely walk into the Championship.

It's not about Martinez, Moyes, Ancelotti, Benitez, Lampard - it's about Everton FC.
That's exactly what this bunch of shitheads are going to do, Dave, and it's fecking heartbreaking and enraging to watch.
