I cannot believe some people actually think Vitor Pereira was the answer to getting a tune out of these horrible rats. They would’ve thrown him under the bus quicker than they did Lampard. Not a chance they’d respect him.

It's what happens when people what something to change but don't know what the answer is

Latter records
Carlo Ancelotti: 2 wins in 10
Rafael Benitez: 1 win in 14
Frank Lampard: 2 wins in 9

The actual problem goes beyond which manager is rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic. The problem is Everton football club. The problem is the players. The problem is everyone who has assembled the players. The root of the rot is Farhad Moshiri and Bill Kenwright.

Spot on

Positive
That position will be severely tested after 2.30PM Saturday if we dont have 28 points.

As said, I'm not going after Lampard. We just have a job to try and do here short term and I dont think hes the man to do that after the last 2 games worth of evidence is looked at.

His failure to consolidate what we had in-game has cost us 4 points from them.

If I could be arsed I could find another 6 of these, all backing the people we now call an ex-manager.

Also, Joe Strange is the author, which means its just a fluff piece were he makes things up.

How do you consolidate a team with a defence which can buckle at any moment. I really think you'll struggle to find any manager who can build something here with defenders who make errors that would drive you mental at under 12 level.

Changing history in what way?

Benitez was threatened. He took abuse at the match. You can't say those didn't want him here just stayed silent.

Whilst Benitez was clearly a qualified and experienced manager, he was never going to be accepted by a large portion of the fans. Moshiri should have known this. His appointment was not conducive to positivity and the club pulling in the same direction. Whether you blame Moshiri, the supporters or both, this is part of the reason for the negative atmosphere around the club and the results on the pitch (note I said part of the reason, not all of it!). Things could not continue.

When it came to Lampard, the fans called for that one. It was spraypainted on Goodison. Moshiri clearly felt the fans needed to be on board after Benitez and bowed to the wishes of the fans.

What is changing history about that?
He had 1 banner placed by his house. He got an ovation in his first game and was welcomed

Stop changing history

You have to get a lot more players behind the ball to protect the back four than FL is prepared to deploy.

I said a few weeks ago: if we set up against all our opponents the way we set up against City then we'd survive with ease.

Lampard has made the same mistake as others who came in here wanting to play open football with these players. This time the club will pay dearly for it.

Like who?

I mean hes not getting a pass from me, but your acting like he has LOADS of options.

And before you do it, yes he has other options, as I say, im not giving him a pass, but he has LIMITED options.

The last 2 games hes been almost forced to play a CB at CM.

It's not who he sets up there with but how he tells them to play.

If you get 8/9 outfield players behind the ball for huge swathes of a game then you're going to be hard pressed to fall behind by a couple of goals. That leaves the chance of picking up the pieces with the odd counter attack and set piece.

That sort of sterile approach was what was required for the games Lampard had in charge.
