DCL is a limited player who is not even trying to get himself into attacking positions like he did under Ancelotti, Richie and Gordon are good but not a patch on the ability of James, Alli has been poor for a number of seasons, DVDB has struggled to recapture his form from Ajax, Doucoure is an athlete but a very limited footballer, Gomes has the speed of a sloth and the heart of a mouse - which is why he has done nothing with his career, Allan is good but no longer has the legs that he had 5/6 years ago and Gray has always blown hot and cold.
So I ask you again, who is a try excellent footballer in our team? I think it's fair to say we are really lacking.

You read my mind!!If i had the brainpower and time i could have listed all the teams with an analysis of how long they stayed down/never came back up etc and then done a deep dive onto how it affected their finances/gates/signings etc etc but i just couldn't be arsed to be honest, i was just picking a few noteworthy examples!
Im convinced it will be a fatal blow for us and the consequences dont even bear thinking about!

Tbf. He is quite a limited player. He showed he was good in the air and could score goals, but players of that ilk need to battle and approach the game in the right way in order to make their gains over more talented footballers.
I know he's been injured, but he's barely even tried or fought for anything since he came back into the side. He tried against Leeds and Newcastle and that is it.
I've always known he was a limited player, but never doubted his attitude - that was the reason he had improved so much.
But his recent attitude has been poor. That's not a confidence thing - the goalscoring is a confidence thing. Fighting for every ball, getting yourself into the right areas is an attitude thing. Some footballers are absolutely nothing without a positive attitude (though all players should have a good attitude) and DCL is one of them. He needs to show it for us in these last games, even if he's already selected his Arsenal or Newcastle shirt number.
