he was the worst option though, and those Are just the options in the media. There are hundreds of managers with far more experience than bloody lampard. He is crap
I mean no, they were the options we actually talked to mate.

Im aware that there are thousands of managers in the world, but the majority of them werent interested in the Everton job at the time.

I think thats the problem, Ancelotti is an Italian, he has an Italian approach, do not concede, he is also one of the top coaches in football. If the best he can manage with this shower is 10th and horrible football, what chance does anyone else have.

I agree. I was only mad because I felt like he betrayed us and left. I was fine with his management and tactics.

I felt like he found it hard to get a balance in the team, and players with weaknesses do that, because you have to cover them in one area but leave other areas open. At the start of last season, we were scoring, but I think he felt like we conceded easily too, which meant we became more defensive, so he never really got the balance. At home, the team had trouble winning because they left space at the back. Away, they sat deeper covering the space.

The problem now is that teams have worked us out, and the players are so afraid because they dont have an answer.

It doesn't really matter anymore after the wednesday result. It's all about results now any way we can get them.

He beat Leeds you mushroom ?

And he was 6 points worse off and 1 place, in his first season at Chelsea compared to the season before. Had a transfer ban and lost hazard who’d contributed 55% of their goals the season before.

Clueless comes to mind
chelsea spent millions the season before the ban, people overate the ban Massively. They had it postponed so they could spend all the money they needed The season before.

The big difference with Carlo and Frank is, that Carlo seems to do better setting up a team with a gameplan to get a result.

Whereas I don't see Frank maneuvering his players like chess pieces like Carlo does.

you forgot Kovac.
I sadly saw nothing suggesting Kovac was ever in the running.

However, despite the rumours, Kovac has revealed that he was never approached by Everton to be under consideration to be their new manager.

“I was very surprised that my name was reported everywhere,” Kovac told Sport Bild, via [Publication is blacklisted due to spam] .

“Nobody spoke to me. I want to do something again from the summer and not replace someone in the middle.

“(Club football) is really very intense. Especially when you play every three days, travel a lot and also have to watch other games.

“So I said to myself that I needed some free time. I want to do everything that I couldn’t do in the past.”

I suppose Rooney stinking the gaff out at derby in his first season, was Franks fault
Rooney is a derby legend, look at their forums. Lampard was part of their poison. Bought players on high wages. And was - as usual. - mates with horrible people.

he is a dirty Tory.

That wasn’t his season, that was
Sarri. Who even With hazard at the time one of the best in the world and his 55% goal contributions he only finished 6 points above Frank total the next season.

So on that basis Frank did better than Sarri

I'd say the vast majority of professional football managers in the world would have been interested. Only the few at the very top wouldn't have been interested.

What manager outside the elite wouldn't fancy 4 or 5 million a year and a pay out when you are inevitably sacked?

Look at the reason Kovac gave.

Nobody likes joining clubs mid season, Kovac would rather sit on his arse than join a half arsed project and hes out of work.

You are spot on with that quote from Bild / The Echo.

However he was out of work , doesn't say that he wasn't interested and has been seen at Goodison in the past.

What he does say is that he wasn't approached by Everton. Well that makes sense as our board is clueless enough not to approach an otherwise well qualified and available candidate.

Kovac has managed Bayern Munich. Most football managers have not managed a team like that. Id put him in the top 2% of managers.
