2021/22 Frank Lampard

IMO he saved his job there today. But the crowd is doing a lot of the heavy lifting.

They've handed him 3 platforms to build from in the last 2 months and he hasn't managed to do that.

If we can stay in the PL we can benefit with Lampard I think.

But it'll be a close run thing.

There is nothing more I want than for us to stay up and Frank be given window, he will have learnt alot from the squad of players he has.

Losing today would have been awful for everyone concerned.

He'd have been gone. No question.

The performances in the last 3 games have been acceptable (apart from the collapses after scoring). So it would have been a shame. But this is a cut throat business and I dont think he's nailed on to see out the season even now. It's up to him and his players. Goodison (as predicted) did its job.

He's got them working their bollocks off at least. To get that energy level from a team on their 3rd game in less than 7 days at this time of the season is exceptional.

He has to make sure this isn't a Leeds or Newcastle situation now...they looked like they had impetus after those wins too but returned to their default setting in the games thereafter.

how? leeds have won now how many on the trot

newcastle won a lot to and stuttered but won last night

both have done enough

i would hope we can do that to

I'm sure he has learned a lot, but if we stay up, it'll be easier said than done shifting out some of the unwanteds. Lads like Holgate, Keane, Gomes, Davies, Rondon, Gbamin etc will be on good money with time on their contract still. Assuming they even have interested buyers, they may not want to leave and we'll be stuck with them for another year or two if we don't pay them off.
