Evidence that Chelsea are about to go into decline - certainly from the Abramovich superclub era - and people who were embedded there are looking for a way out.

Unless he wanted to follow Lampard but chose to wait until the end of the season.

Very highly rated so hopefully he comes.

Everton are set to appoint former academy player Gerard Kinsella to a role at the academy.

Kinsella was Tranmere's Senior football development coach, and spent 3 years as a professional at Everton between 2008 & 2011

Ex Everton shouldnt mean anything...

I completely agree, however, if they're highly rated and ex Everton than that is that little bit sweeter for me which is the point you've missed here mate.

No, I agree it is "sweeter".

However, why does it seem like most of our youth setup is filled with former players?

Out of the whole world Im not sure they would be the best qualified...hopefully this chap is.

That's a whole different side conversation I didn't sign up for.

I feel we both know the answer.

Which is a higher job level? 1st team coach or academy director ?

Id hope we keep Lampard even if we went down.
Think the other guy we got the other day will be on the academy with thirwell. Feel lampard will want barry involved woth the first 11 and havr big role

I really liked Frank as a player. Thought he was brilliant. He was miles better than Slippy and at least on par with, if not better than Scholes. I wasn't sure about him as a manager when he came in, but he's slowly winning me over. I just find Frank quite likeable. I'm just hoping he keeps us up and gets the chance to build a decent team.

I am willing to be very patient because he has a lot of the raw ingredients needed to become a top manager. He is just lacking experience

I'm weary these days of hoping new personnel will bring a culture shift and are appointed solely on merit. But at least it seems there is a concentration on the need for a new approach and new people now.
