Before this weekend we were 12th in the form table.
After today were 14th.
Benitez was 18-20th every game beyond the start.
All that matters is where we are in the league table.
Where was we when Benitez was sacked?

All Lampard could do was get the team into some form.
Going from 20th in form to 12th and now 14th isnt relegation form...
We cant affect other teams results only our own.
Lampard could have us 3rd in the form table but if Burnley and Leeds are 1st/2nd theres nothing you can do.
I cannot imagine forking out a few million to compensation another manager sacking, not at the back of relegation when finance is paramount.
We also need Lampard and his Chelsea ties to grab a few loans. There are plenty of good young players at Chelsea. Extremely crucial if we need to maintain quality in the squad after major player sales.

I've certainly aged in the last month.. 100% what is Everton?? We talk about identity but that seems to have gone. You always hear from the older players including lampard, they hated us at home. Now we are seen as point or 3 points.

Mad you even have to ask who Everton are pal. I was born in the late 80s and the Everton teams before this one have always been full of fight. Lampard doesn’t bring that for me
To an extent of course but they were very slow and lethargic. Once they upped the pace we couldn't stop them.
Lampard has learned from that drubbing at Spurs though. No way we could have set up like that today.

It's not mad, you are being far too literal.
We have not been that Everton for decades. And lately we have not even been close to it.
For a large crop of the current set of managers, players etc the Everton we are is the one we have been for 30 years.
